I saw him the nite before, 8/12, in Columbus OH. The younger guys with us were all into modern rock but they came with our group to see what Ted was all about. They were amazed at the guitar work, and the sound quality was outstanding. All they could say was "Holy $hit, this guy's good!"

Yeah, you're full of crap. Any random bar band has a guitar player as good as Ted. Not saying he's bad player, just nothing impressive.
@rrussell392 жыл бұрын
Yes he is. anyone that say's he isn't, probably doesn't play guitar, isn't any good at guitar, or is just jeolous. Some people don't like his politics so don't give him his due, but I have seen him several times live and he is an amazing guitarist...way better than a lot of folks. Not many players still have his energy, and skills, in their 70's.
@MartinMCade Жыл бұрын
@@rrussell39 I'm on the opposite side of Ted Nugent on many (not all) political issues. But I don't have any problem with his playing. He's no shredder, so he's not going to sound like Satriani, or Vai, or Morse, or Malmsteen, or any of that class of guitarist. But he's got his own sound and style, and he does it well. And from what I hear in this recording his tone and technique are as good as ever, if not better.

Interesting thing about the plexi barriers.. Ted's stage volume is outta control LOUD. The plexi protects the drummer from 120db and cross-talk between the guitar and drum mics. Most of the venues Ted is playing are large theaters that have their own sound systems. Ted still brings a tractor trailer load of sound equipment and it's behind him on stage. Count it when the camera zooms out.. 20 cabinets. Unbelievably LOUD. Take ear plugs if you go! Saw him twice here in 2022 and hope to see him again. Sound is incredible.. guitar work and tone unbelievable!

I think Nugent opened but main memory from that concert was Ted standing on top of his amps and playing Queen of the Forest. Barely a memory of Aerosmith & Earthquake.
