Great DIY video! You're right, get the parts on Amazon or local supplier. If you really feel you can't do this replacement (you really can) take the parts and watch to any watch repair shop and they'll do it for you - save money by showing up with the parts in your hand - much cheaper. Just changed out the bezel and strap on my older DW 5600 E. If I had watched your video first it would have saved me some time. Your technique on the little tricky spring bars was much better than mine by trial by error. A little problem also in replacing the bezel screws (they came out easy), but on one side of the watch they wouldn't seat right and didn't engage the threads. I got a flashlight and looked into the bezel holes and saw they weren't exactly centered over the case frame holes. A little pinch and squeeze, and then hold on both the bezel and frame (near the edges) until the holes lined up - and the screws went right in. One of my spring bars went flying out, too, during strap attachment. Strongly suggest if you're going to do this in the kitchen or bathroom (best light) cover the sink drain hole. Think about some eye protection - those little bars can travel faster than you can blink! All in all, my old G Shock now looks like it just came out of the box. Well worth the time and little effort to get this result! Watch this video a few more times...you can do it!

Is the GLX 5600 the same size as the DW 5600? Curious, because I have a 6 3/8's inch wrist (so pretty small) so I was wondering how it would fit if it was the same size or if the GLX is bigger

buTTonz they are the same size just a slight difference in the button spacing hence the need to make sure the bezel is correct.

@@watchology569 Awesome, was just curious. Do you know if the glx is salt water resistent? I'd love to grab the gbx 100 but it seems to be too big for my wrist size.

buTTonz if it’s water resistant it’s salt water resistant, but always wash of with fresh water when finished. Or try the gulf man that is rust resist. I have a gbx 100 and personally it is the best g shock I have ever had, but it is slightly bigger than the 5600s. Don’t have a 5600 at the moment to do a comparison shot.

buTTonz not sure what country you are in but in the UK if you order one from g shock themselves you can return it within 14 days. So you could try it, if it doesn’t fit return it.

Did not fit mine but i found the DW5610 strap and bezel from aliexpress did fit my GLX-5600 cost about £9.00

Hey, I was wondering if the protective shell is the part that prevents the water from getting in? My bezel on my 5610 is peeling away and im scared its going to affect the waterproofness of the watch
