Nice, I'm happy to hear that! I know it's a big video, but I did my best to add timestamps and split it up into logical sections to make it easier to digest. There are a TON of good nuggets in there, but it's not like this where it goes in the exact order. It's long as well, but I put timestamps on everything so skip around :)

Awesome video. I know you're trying to fit as much info into a short length video, which I commend you, but it's too fast, which is fine. Since you're going fast, we can't keep up with what you're saying & doing (clicking). So a suggestion would be to use a larger mouse pointer size, and with flourescent color. So we know where the mouse pointer is as you're talking. About 60% of the time, I hear you talking, & then a screen pop up. I have no idea what you did or how you did to get the screen to pop up. But overall, a great video. I know it took many hours & days for editing. Edit -- I didn't have Vikings in my play thru. I was playing way down southeast, around India / Madagascar area. Guess its too far for Vikings to make it down there.

I watched this video as a follow up to the other grandma video after your recommendation, and actually everything ran extremely smoothly! I conquered all of Ireland, got tons of money, absolute control over counties, a ton of prestige… and then my ruler died at 44 years old, of gout. Playing as his heir, I was stumped, because his focus was on intrigue and I had no clue what to do. I married a lady with high stewardship to at least maintain my kingdom… and then I couldn’t grow it any further because of a massive shortage of prestige. Spent close to 15 years just raiding to get money and prestige, held a grand tournament, got a ton of prestige that ran out immediately, back to square one, no prestige, no way to expand my territory. Should I just keep raiding or what? It makes no sense :/ I would highly appreciate a guide on what to do after your ruler dies and your heir takes over! As well as possibly a video explaining the difference in gameplay with different lifestyles. Until then, what can I do to get unstuck from being unable to expand due to low prestige (and stays negative no matter what)?
@Strat-Guides4 ай бұрын
If you're going through that much prestige, it sounds like your army is too big to maintain. I prefer to prioritize archers for this reason - they don't cost nearly as much as the armored footmen. Try disbanding some of the more expensive units you have and change them out for archers and light infantry?
@applelayla45324 ай бұрын
@@Strat-GuidesI’ve got a thousand armored footmen, 2 sets of 500 each, the rest is bowmen. I burn through prestige like crazy because of “Unraised Men-at-arms”. By the time I’ve managed to raise my prestige gain again, I’m 40 years old, and it resets next time my heir takes over :/ Is there a way to get to feudalism more quickly? So why is it keeping the vassals in charge of what I’m capturing I’m so lost 😅
@Strat-Guides6 ай бұрын
When you look at the person you're declaring war against, you have to look at the land they PERSONALLY own, the land they directly control. Personally controlling land is not the same as "Realm within your kingdom" which basically means you own the highest title, but someone else owns the actual land. If you declare on someone, you can only get the land they directly own, but anyone else will become a vassal of yours. If you declare war for a dutchy that the rulers doesn't own anything in, you'll get 100% vassals. If they own all the land within a dutchy, then your dutchy war will give you direct ownership of all those lands. Hopefully that helps clear it up!

In your first run when your brother died you said you forgot to marry him. How would you do this marriage? Matrilineal? What skills would you look for?
@Strat-Guides2 ай бұрын
For the brother just do a regular marriage - Matrilineal is for when your female courtiers and family members are married off so you can pull capable males into your court. As for skills, females will mostly use intrigue (spymaster) or learning (court physician) so either of those would be good if you don't already have the positions filled. Otherwise, you literally just want a young female with any stats - the important thing with females is they can pull capable males into your court who can then fill any position (including champions with high prowess).

It's because we're starting as a Tribal Government, which gets a CB against anyone in diplomatic range. That's why I recommend starting as Tribal when you're first learning the game - it simplifies things a lot!

Maybe I'm having trouble because I'm not a grandmother. Also, wouldn't having a massive court full of people who resent you give hostile schemes free agents?
@Strat-Guides5 ай бұрын
What are you having trouble with? I can try to help. Yeah that can potentially be an issue - but if you have a good spymaster and you keep your close courtiers and wife on good terms then it will be much harder for any scheme to go through. You'll usually run into issues when your wife hates you or the court physician.

would you happen to make a eu4 video like this in the future?
@Strat-Guides7 ай бұрын
I do plan on making a video like this for each of the Paradox games! I've got close to 5k hours into EU4 so that should be an easy one. I've got a couple hundred into HOI4 so I need more time with that and Stellaris 0 hours - need more time :)

I have a big guestion how do i get the acollade? Im a King And i dont have it.
@Strat-Guides6 ай бұрын
You didn't make a custom ruler and go over the points or anything? I think most games default to allow achievements so unless you messed with the settings, it should pop up

i dont understand, you can just declare wars on other countries but when im playing i have to use the priest guy to justify and get only a very small piece of land

You picked the later start date - make sure you change the start date to 867 (very beginning of the guide). That will make your starting government Tribal, which means you can attack anyone without having to fabricate a claim first.

Im sorry, byt are you playing on normal difficulty? Seems to me this is on easy mode. Played similar campaigns and not once I had such a long time without at least one plague. Also the surplus of resources even in early years seems like ease/very ease difficulty.

Also nearly every time the Vikings conquer big part of England, with alliances of 6k+ armies before years 5-10 of gameplay
