I've been to Vegas once and stayed at the golden nugget. I'm not picky when it comes to hotels as long as it's not a dump. I'm going again and I might stay here. Thank you

Great video, thanks! We just made our first trip to Vegas last weekend and stayed at the Strat. I watched a bunch of videos just doing research and was glad I found this, very helpful. The only thing I disagree with you on is we went to the Strat Cafe for breakfast one day and we loved it. It may be that it's more of a breakfast place anyway. A few of the videos I watched mentioned the weird sticker over the window. Ours didn't have it. We were on the 20th floor and had a great view looking north. Thanks again.

Between those two, which would you prefer to stay at? I think I lean the Elevate room at STRAT.

My wife and I stayed at the Strat this last April, We had a suit , it was great, loved it !! My only complaint on the Strat, Location, Location, Location

I love the idea of motion-activated lights next to the bed - who hasn't gotten out of bed in the middle of the night in a pitch black room and stubbed a toe attempting to stagger to the bathroom. Every hotel should have this. My one problem with the Strat rooms is that they're TINY. No way to fix that.

LOL, yes. I've ran into a few door frames myself. Yea, once the die is cast, it's tough to expand that room footprint. That said, the smaller rooms and bad location mean affordable prices comparitively.

I stayed there a couple times in the 1980s when it was Vegas World....before the tall tower existed.

Strats location is terrible yes but the room itself is truly one of the best values on the strip. Dining options are solid, Chi is great. I was also pleasantly surprised recently by the quality of the rooms and staff, will probably be back at some point

Kind of a similar story with Resorts World, Sahara, and likely Fontainebleau in the near future - If you can deal with the location issues, then you're going to get a bit more room for your money.

I like this vid ....i aint ever got over to the USA and vegas (on my bucket list some day) BUT i had a friend that stayed at the strat because it was cheap compaired to all the other stip hotels further down! ...it was what it was back then , not great but also not bad! this vid is the 1st one i have seen of the inside of the strat and tbh with the Upgraded rooms (as in the elavete ones) it looks pretty good ! its just a shame that the strat is where it is ( that area in the 80s was the main place to stay with freemont street just up the road etc) then in the 90s they built all those mega resorts down the south of the strip and THAT became the place to go and the NORTH (apart from freemont street) suffered greatly and became the place no one wanted to go and visit due to crime etc ...i do hope one day Las vegas can make the WHOLE of the strip south to north a place to visit in its entirity not just south ....mind you it didnt help with the great implosion boom of the 90s getting rid of classic casino/ hotels in the north for redevelopment that didnt happen due to recesion and 9 /11 that wedge area from the convention centre northwards was a waste land for yrs till resorts world finaly opend and the Fontainebleau Las Vegas (finaly after yrs of it being part built) other than that the only other classic hotels and casinoes up that end of the strip is obv Circus circus (another cheap place to stay) and the newly built / refurbed Shara ..then its onto the strat (im not gonna include the failed lucky dragon ..now the Ahern Luxury Boutique Hotel in this as to me it was allways what i would call a small hotel casino with big asperations with only 188 guest rooms, 14 suites, and 1 penthouse with not realy any room to expand if it did become a success!)

@@StalkingTheStrip LOL yep im am a bit ....its allways been my dream to go there (as was my late fathers) i got my gambling bug of him lol so YES i do keep upto date (even though im in the UK) on whats going on in Vegas (mostly via YT) i follow a few channels such as miles to memories etc and a few that post slot vids too such as brian christopher! ...Someday i will get there eventualy but i still like to keep up to date with stuff !) P.S i have sent via email your video on the strat refurb to Miles for memories as they never cover the strat in their vids ( OBV of course i mentiond you) and if they actualy realised that the strat elevated rooms had had a refurb?) as they are supposed to cover all vegas news NOT just mid strip ...hpe you get a mention if they take notice of my email! 🤣🤣😉😉 PPS 1st time i came across your channel BUT have subscribed!

The covered window would be a hard pass for me. The renovations look nice but no window view at all makes it claustrophobic.

Doesn't a Strat stay come with free visit to the top of the tower? I know it used to.

@@18000rpm no, but now that you mention it, they offer “discounted” observation deck tickets… website doesn’t specify how discounted though. I’ll dig into it.
