The Sesvete Open started today! In round 1 I faced the Stonewall Dutch and had to deal with problems in the opening very early on. Playing a new repertoire is not easy:D

Weird of black to take with the c pawn instead of e. I thought it was one of the basics of stonewall to take with e.

I've been dying to see how you deal with the stonewall in these positions! My usual is a Catalan setup and it's always a tough time for me.

I myself go b3-Ba3 and if they capture I re-route my knight by Nxa3-c2-d3, and then play for a Ne5 followed by f3. I find it challenging however when the don't capture and reinforce the bishop with Qe7. I go Qc1 but fail to find a good plan.

Regarding MK, I did some research and here's what I found: National CM = MK, which stands for "Majstorski Kandidat", which means Candidate Master when translated to English.

@@realmahadeo as far as I know (and wikipedia knows) you get the CM when you reach 2200 ELO, and I think that stjepan best rating ever was 20XX (close to 2100)... maybe I am wrong?

thats true, but he achieved 2200 at croatian raiting, so thats why he got the national title MK (different to Fides titles that involves fide ratings)@@maximilianocicuttini6072

@@maximilianocicuttini6072 apparently national CM and international CM are different. with 2100 in Croatia you get MK (national CM), and with 2200 you get the highest national title (NM) and also get an international CM. I don't know much about it, it's all from Croatian wikipedia hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A0ahovske_kategorije_i_titule

@@maximilianocicuttini6072candidate master is the title that you get at the national level. For example, the USCF in America gives the candidate aster title to anyone with a rating of 2000(and also gets some norms.)
