Probably the case with most video creators that you find new filming and editing techniques that work well, hence your videos keep improving. I've also seen this with other KZbinrs

Amazing Video, I really enjoyed this watch on my bus journey home after recording my next video, I absolutely love the drone shots, they have always added that extra bit of depth to your video which I enjoy, very knowledgeable on the new entrance and your editing and recording skills have definently improved since last year, well done Riku!!💙

Closing a small entrance with only 4 ticket barriets is ABSOLUTELY necessary when there are large scale events nearby, especially when this is the closest entrance/exit to the London Stadium. This is the same reason why Holloway Road and Drayton Park are closed when footballs games as Arsenal's stadium take place. The tiny amount that just 4 barriers at Gibbins Road will reduce crowds at the main entrance by is not adequate to justify the huge crowds that will build up there, as well as the extra security personel needed. Also, a correction; there are definitely not a lot of people currently living in the Carpenters Estate area (therefore few cars on the road as you observed). I know this because 5-6 years ago when I was doing my Geography GCSE, we undertook fieldwork in the Stratford area, concentrating on the Carpenters Estate area and the East Village (olympic village) areas primarily. At least 5-6 years ago, only a tiny percentage (like 10-15% if i remember correctly) of those huge grey tower blocks were actually occupied by residents, and I assume it has stayed the same or gotten less since then, due to the fact there has been little redevelopment in the area. Nevertheless, great video!

I didn’t know this was open yet. Also open now are the new escalators from near the main bus station up to the footbridge over the high level railway lines to Stratford City and Westfield. The old ones seldom worked, despite not being very old, only dating from around the opening of Westfield. Stratford station has changed so much over the last 50 years or so that I have known it.😊

For the part at 2:30; those are also bike park things, so the number of bikes able to park are double as much with the same space. Those things are at basically every train station in the Netherlands for that reason :)

makes sense for a bike-reliant place like the Netherlands- we should install more of these in the uk as well. Thanks for sharing :)

3:53 If a lot of people are using the new entrance over the older bigger ones, it will create congestion during an event I am guessing. I think preventing overcrowding is about controlling the flow of passengers.

Filming too long? - perhaps it the issue with it being a National Rail as well as a TfL station. Closed when Stadium events are on - this does make sense, large events require crowd management, which needs a lot of staff and police, if two entrances this would need more staff and police to manage, more cost effective to close the new entrance. Plus easier to manage one flow of people into the station.
@davidstone4085 ай бұрын
@ChilternTransportProductions - I know that the TLM Hidden London Tour at Moorgate requires consent from Network Rail and they do not like people filming on the Network Rail platform or even taking photos 🤯. - TfL do not normally have any issues unless you are filming commercially (which requires a permit) or you are using equipment (flash/lights which might distract drivers or CCTV) or Tripods (which might cause a trip hazard) - otherwise you should not be an obstruction to people using the station. I spend last Sunday filming on the Uxbridge section on the Metropolitan line, no issues (other than having time to edit the footage)
@Nooticus5 ай бұрын
most likely the issue is that Stratford is a pretty high risk area for crime, therefore it is important to keep people moving.

I think that the new Gibbins Road entrance will help to relieve some of the congestion despite it's only a small access but it's still worth it. Especially when coming from the Jubilee Line and DLR.

i dont really like the idea of having 4 barriers. if they extend it inside that randon empty space outside, then put the gateline in the extended area, divert people up escalators/lifts to the bit near platforms 4, there could be much more capacity. the little path to the jubilee line could stay and then only that will be closed on event days, and people can still access the new (bigger) entrance fron the already existing footbridge that links platform 3a with the dlr and jubilee line, that random exit on the footbridge and dlr platforms 4
@obamtl5 ай бұрын
Hey Riku, given how small that entrance is, I reckon it could become a real risk for stampede during match games. As someone that goes to the Emirates stadium on occasion, I can see how having thousands of people bearing down a very narrow entrance with people pushing and shoving from all directions, could quickly make it unsafe, so they need to maintain an orderly exit and entry.
