+Bill Fernie The volunteers who rescued and gave this line a future deserve all the credit, without them this would have been another video looking at an empty trackbed coupled with some film clips taken many years ago remembering, how it was. Fortunately through their hard work we are able to experience this wonderful line for ourselves. I'd like to join you, in saying well done to the staff and volunteers.

The Strathspey railway is a wonderful experience. One of my best mates on You Tube is Alistair Foden who is a Fireman there.

Hi Tim, enjoyed your video of the strathspey railway. I have also been on the Keith to dufftown railway when it was there 150th anniversary. Broom hill is also know as glenboogie. It was in a tv series monarch of the glen hamish

Hi Hamish, the staff at the Strathspey railway were really friendly, keen to make sure everyone enjoyed their visit. I have visited the Keith to Dufftown railway, although it was a few years ago and no steam on that occasion, again this was another line where I was made to feel very welcome. It's well worth a visit if you are in the Highlands as it's one of the better Heritage Lines..just hope that you 'get to' Grantown-on-Spey in the near future..GOOD LUCK!!

I remember standing on Aviemore station before the Strathspey line reopened and seeing some old wooden body trucks waiting to moved to their new home, best of all a Deltic arrived with a train from London destined for Inverness. Lovely railway, beautiful scenery.

Looks can be deceiving, the bus was on the road next to the railway, but that is not obvious in the shot. I think it was a telephone bell ringing, but I can't be certain.

I went to this railway and I saw engine 46512 and got to go in the cab of the steam engine
