hate the fact that everyone are all upset about these type of fpv flights. to me it's beautiful!! well done Daniel.. we don't see good videos anymore 99.9% cause no one post them, but know everyone still fly these routes..

Your vids are always entertaining, and due to people like yourself (and others on YT) I have reached into my pockets and landed myself a few hundred dollars in debt (just kidding, not actually in debt), now waiting on my first FPV drone setup... sick.

You're crazy if you don't take some kind of mini wing with you to Nepal to surf the ridges of the mountains FPV style... Take something that comes apart easily (ie remove wings easily)
@badmofo3507 жыл бұрын
superspeeed he has an old video of a slope soaring wing that comes apart. He strapped it to a backpack and MTBed up a mountain to soar it.
@Designandrew7 жыл бұрын
Even if he wont take a wing he should take a mini quad... but personally you can't beat the aerodynamic freedom of wing.. I know it's a hindrance when you are travelling to carry something extra, but if he can rig something that can carry this level quality of gopro.. the footage would be... breath taking.

Tough to get one in a backpack without breaking it during the trip.

This just inspired me.. I think a type of 'kite wing' would be hugely more practical. Like a stunt kite but more of a 3d wing, that will pull out like an accordion

Interesting, if you look at 3:25, the pov has a bug in the reading on the left, when it goes to and from three digits, it reads 000 momentarily instead of 100.
@jhdefinition7 жыл бұрын
Really love this video. The flight of my dreams is similar than this one, but with less height difference. :) I have noticed you haven't used PA mode. Do you avoid this mode only in flying wings like this? I'm trying to tune a ZAGI with 1200 mm of wingspan with a Cyclops Tornado, because default settings produce an inestable behavoir.

Daniel, would you recommend the Vector OSD system by Eagle Tree? It's pretty expensive compared to the Cyclops, but I'm just not sure if there are better systems out there in that price range.

Nick Joslin everybody seems to be into iNav these days. $50 for the basic functionality like RTH/Level/launch assist and OSD

What does it take to get the Hi Res video images to your goggles so you can clearly see where you're flying? Is that possible/feasible/affordable yet with RC components?
@Daruma_Studio Жыл бұрын
Video comes in from an FPV camera ($20), and is sent to a video transmitter (VTX) for about ($40) and has a cloverleaf antenna for about $8, and then is picked up with his circularly-polarized ground antenna and video receiver module ($60ish). Prices are estimated and doesnt include cables and batteries. But not too difficult.
