You forgot to mention that music from the second movement was intended for the Apparition of the Virgin Mary scene in the movie, Song of Bernadette. I believe Stravinsky added the piano and harp to the reworked material across the three movements to create a more coherent whole. It would've been fun to hear Igor in a Hollywood film, but at least he left us with this rollicking work, a definite outlier from his so-called Neoclassical period!

MTT is the best Stravinsky interpreter. His many years of working directly under and with the composer makes him superb! Love when he came to Chicago in 2010 for Oedipus Rex, Ode, and Apollo.

I initially thought that the first movement was a hair fast, but it all fell together nicely. Great performance by MTT and his training orchestra!
