The whole sharing with Friends and family thing, I don't have any friends. And my family wants me to pay the money I owe them before I get a still. Obviously, I'm between a rock and a hard place. But you're the guy that actually made me want to get it still, I've been watching Jesse from still it for a while, but you're the one that made it look doable, thank you.

So I am a first time moonshine maker and just ordered a Vevor. Thank you for your videos I will be checking back regularly to see how to do everything. My family comes from W Virginia and I have moonshine makers in my family tree. I am a little scared because i live in an apartment but I figure as long as I take it slow I should be fine? Any tips or suggestions would be welcomed. The Vevor I bought is a 5 gallon and after watching your videos I wish I would have started with the 8 but its too late now. Thanks for your passion on distilling, I am excited to start!

I've experimented with leaving my thumper empty lately. I liked the results so much I modified the 1 gallon thumper for my stove top rig into a plain Ole slobber box. I'll be taking the thump arm out of my 10 gallon thumper and cutting it off to make it a slobber box probably tomorrow cause I like the results

I've been doing the same thing ever since I got a thumper with my 3 gal Vevor and continuing on to my double half gal thumper setup with my 8 gal copper still.

Moonshiners TV fan. A buddy pointed me your way here on KZbin. Ordered the Velor 5g tonight to test the waters. Only have a million and a half questions but many forums for that. Really appreciate your comments 9:31 you seem like a great guy. When its time to upgrade I'll come your way. Thanks for the videos they have been very inspirational in helping me to decide to try my hand at this.

If you use strawberries when making the mash, doesn't the distillation of the strawberry infused mash strip away the flavor?

Yea u got to throw a lil fruit in there with that sugar mash to give it a lil flavor to overcome it. But that sugar shine is known not to give hangovers.

Great advice on stills. I have a 3 gallon copper rig, and a 30 gallon rig. I have loads of fun tinkering with recipes in my lil still. Then when I find a recipe I like I crank it out in my 30 gallon.

I'm a mead brewer. Unfortunately I brewed a 6 gallon batch of peach mead that turned out terrible. I don't like throwing nothing away. So my thoughts are to turn it into peach brandy. Will a vevor work to make this bland boring peach mead turn into a reasonable brandy? I was thinking about using can peaches and peach shnapps in the thumper.

Question: So as I understand it, if I am looking to make a more flavorful product I was told that the less copper I run it through, the more flavor it will retain but may be less alcohol content, is that right? At least this is what one dude told me. For example, running a brandy. I had always been told that the thump keg would be used to help impart flavors that the copper length didn't matter.. so confused now

Aloha guys from the big island of Hawaii, I just got my VEVOR 18 and a half gallon still and ran some water through it. I haven't run my sacrificial run yet I'm just curious though why they wouldn't put a drain spout on the bottom of the big 18 and a half gallon am I overlooking something obvious?

Add 50-60$ bucks on starting price, 2 3 steps when making it . Price would change, and probably would go in crowded market.. as cheap starting one it nice, and adding one your self any that hard I guess and if you decide to use holesaws bi metals might as well drill holes for elements, Aldo probably is good as it's since you can store it more easy or use for regular cooking :) thought if you don't want to drill solder/weld, I would maybe depending where I use and heating source make a rig and use strap around it and tip/ flip it in wheelbarrow or simply wash away with water that how they use bigger destilers in my region...
