You might have to plant yours in an area the gets shade. Maybe next to the house or something. I'm sure you get a lot of heat out there.

Which one taste more like melon and which one grows smaller

Neither of them taste like a melon to me. I'm not a big fan of melons so that was good for me. The strawberry papaya is smaller and grows slower than the red lady.
