Depends on the time of year. This time of year it’s almost tougher on soldier creek side depending on the spot. The fish have moved up more shallow now-so the depth of soldier creek isn’t super beneficial.

are you dragging the jig on the bottom how do you keep it from getting snagged

I usually try to fish just off the bottom. I’ll let it sink and hit bottom. Then reel just fast enough that I’m not completely dragging. I do lose a fair bit of gear, I’m not gonna lie!!😂

I have a question sir, when you use chub meat should you unfreeze it before use?

No try and keep it frozen the whole day. Once it thaws out it becomes mushy and falls off super easily. I take a small cooler with me and keep it in there with ice packs!! Great question!!💪🏼

Yessir it was a fantastic day! We found them in more shallow water on the soldier creek side. I would imagine that it will be fairly similar all over the lake. They will be moving shallow looking to fatten up before the winter. Look for spots that have a drop off near shore-they sit there looking to ambush minnows!

Good job man . I was there last Friday, unfortunately I haven't found chub meat at sportsman's warehouse. I just used worms with kaitech and tubes but it's not the same. Bobbers are always good though. Cheers 😉.

6:16 you said you're not letting the tube jig get anywhere near the bottom. So how are fishing it?

1/8 oz head early in the morning. Casting out, getting slack out and reeling in immediately. With that light weight head the tube is only a few feet below the surface!
