Its the 80s. People who make fun of that decade don't know what they are saying. As I remember day one of MTV I remember that decade and the brillant tunes and music videos that followed. Strawberry switchblade was only around for a very short time but they had a huge impact; Rose and Jill was something.

It is timeless. It was so odd and different then compared with everything else that was around and has stood the test of time so well. It is one of those perfect tunes where, to paraphrase John Peel, you couldn't add anything or take anything away from it to improve it.

Just the other day this song came into my Apple Music playlist. When I took a look at the cover it reminded me of indie pop, sorta like the girl version of R.E.M.
