he's a cutie and has been working hard to get your attention, I would just recommend a bright colored break-away collar so he doesn't get taken away to a shelter by someone who thinks he may be lost or a stray. Cats are truly cool!

With cats, I've found you get what you give. Treat them like they're smart and caring. Because they are. All our cats have been "dog-like". They're attentive when we walk outside. They're cuddly. And very playful. Some cats won't be dog-like if they've been traumatized in some way. But most cats are loyal and loving. And total fun ❣

He is like black velvet! I would suggest a cat door so he can come and go as he please but eventually he will prefer to stay indoors at night as he gets older. Hopefully he gets along with your dog!

We have a cat named B - basically the same, he showed up one day under my bath. I heard this noise and was like, WTF is that - my other 2 cats were sleeping, looked under the bath and he was there, the most cutest face ever, and he was huge. He's got grey, silver stripes with white paws and a face. Over the next day, I woke up and he was on the end of my bed!! He didn't care about the other cats. He's turned out to be the most loving, loyal cat going. He's old now though and it breaks my heart to see it, he's been the best cat we've ever had, like a big brother guardian. He sees off the other cats from the garden, but not aggressively.. He walks up slow and just sits in front of them. Amazing animal, amazing. He's my son.

He looks identical to the cat that found us during the 2021 snowpocalypse in Texas. During the winter storm of February 2021, when all was frozen and we had a foot of snow here in Texas, one night while walking the dogs I noticed what looked like a cat in our backyard. I told my wife and my step daughter and they both said that I was seeing things. I started leaving food outside and lo and behold it was a beautiful black cat identical to the one in this video, except that his ear was not clipped. When I was sure that it was a cat I went and bought some cat food and started feeding him every day, he very rapidly started approaching us and looking for pets, and he was completely comfortable with our 3 labs. It was obvious that he had been someone's pet and has lived with dogs before. Anyways he now lives inside with us and he is the sweetest cat we have ever had.

Please have him become an indoor cat. I made the mistake with my beloved Runt -- he so desperately wanted to be outside. I found him as a newborn at the local library -- his mother had been killed in the parking lot and the librarian didn't know what to do about Runt and his siblings -- so I took them on. Took them to the vet and while the vet was holding Runt, he told me "don't be surprised if some of these do not make it -- just know you did your best". But Runt (his name gives everything away) was nursed, cared for, and flourished for 12 years. Then one day I found half of Runt lying outside my house. He'd been savaged by a coyote. He must have been asleep in the cat home I had there and never stood a chance. As a result, I moved to the indoors two other cats I have who were indoor/outdoor and they have adapted well to being indoor-only. I miss Runt, and I wish I'd retrained him before the coyote came.
