Stray Kitty AWESOME!

Last night between segments of Hearthstone we found a crying kitten behind our house. This asshole of a cat caused us to end the show, ruining everyone's night.

The reason they can't find the owner is because Fraser is the owner and always has been. He's always wanted a new kitty but Becky wouldn't allow it, so he bought one in secret and planted her in the alley. Then, while taking a piss, conveniently finds her... a masterful plan Mr. Agar, and Becky fell for it hook, line and sinker. And, as an added bonus his fans have a new found respect for this animal lover that will home and feed a vulnerable stray kitten. Well played...

Based on the craving for company, I'd say the cat's owner was A) very negligent or B) extremely clingy and left the cat on its own for an hour or two. If the owner was negligent enough to get the cat taken away by the Humane Society, you could probably request to take it off their hands, since you have 2 well-treated cats already.

When I was 9, a very large stray cat was outside our house in misty rain. Being a little shithead I let the cat inside and pampered him. My parents opened the garage door in hopes that the cat would leave and not come back, but nope. I petted the cat for 2 hours straight and he wouldnt leave. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with Kitty Aids. They said he would live for only two years, so my parents kept him. He lived for 7 years after that.

Its more than likly because some prick dumped it. After realizing it wasn't perfect. There are some very nasty cat breeders. Who will do that if the kittens are imperfect. Its how I got my Egpytion Mow. She's sliver and looked just like the pictures I found of them. Only thing she's got six toes. Which makes her look cute in my mind. But someone dumped her on a country road. Some sick people out there. She was dehyrated and scarred as hell.

Shaun Dreclin Indoor cats usually don't go far when they slip out. They get scared really fast. There was nobody looking, there are still no posters, craigs list posts, etc.

Shaun Dreclin My cat slips outside sometimes by accident but then comes back when he's called. Or he huddles under the lawn furniture. He loves looking out, but the outdoors is too much for him. Most indoor cats don't like the outside and practically cling to the door when they're forced outside. My neighbors force their cat outside every day and the poor thing huddles under the porch scared to death. She tries to follow them back inside and goes to our house crying to get inside. There's a reason why indoor cats are indoor cats. The same with their previous cat, also... If the cat was an indoor cat, she wouldn't have gotten far. Also, if the owners let it out and really didn't care about it enough to look for it three days, it really isn't their responsibility to keep on searching. Some owners take in cats/kittens just for looks and/or hunters. My state is filled with the rodents trying to beat the cold by nesting inside houses. The owners usually don't feed them well... (not saying this is the case, my riding instructor fed her hunter to the point where people thought he was pregnant.) In hopes for them hunting better and eating what they catch. My mom called animal control (our shelter is a no-kill due to how high the adoption rate is, I volunteered there myself for six months.) on a cat that was begging for food and shelter on my street. It was a bag of bones and scared to death, but the owners down the street owned it as a 600 dollar mouser from England to just keep their house clean and rodent free. Animal control finally caught the cat and I heard she found a good home. (My cat is a solo cat for his whole life and never been with another cat, so it's most likely impossible for him to adapt to another cat now.) Recently they bought the same breed for the same purpose, another cat the with the same looks as the old one is hunting around. Thankfully it looks more well-fed than the old one. Some owners sadly only see the cat as one purpose, even if they're not suited for it and/or too young as this one was especially around the age which she is when they can easily get caught by foxes or other predators. A common thing in our area. Foxes, racoons, stray dogs... All of them would go after her at the nighttime, I wouldn't let a cat out at night unless I knew they could handle it, or were old enough to do so. If they lose that cat, they just get another one to do the same thing.

This is pretty much how we got out third cat. My mom was walking our dog in the woods, and she heard the loudest incessant siamese cat cry, so she looked around for a bit, and came across a grey kitty, and he wouldn't leave her alone, so she brought him home, and we gave him cat food and it seemed like he hadn't eaten for days. We put up some posters but never got a call. A cat being very clean doesn't mean much. Cats keep themselfs clean afterall. We have one cat around here that doesn't belong to anybody. It lives outside and begs people for food (very successfully). You wouldn't think by looking at it that it doesn't have an owner. But I think you are right, this one hasn't been on the streets long. It seems to be very familiar with humans and has no fear of you guys.

Rabies, feline influenza, calicivirus, and distemper vaccines are all the most important to keep up regularly, as far as I know. Rabies is important, but usually obvious and is only prevalent in certain locations, and cat flu and calicivirus cause respiratory infections, which are treatable, but expensive, annoying and occasionally risky to young cats. Distemper (FPV) is *extremely* contagious and is known to be fatal, though, and is the "big one" that should be renewed annually. So keep new kitty separated from your cats until you're sure she has that.

Oh wow. Weird. Like a month ago my family adopted a stray kitten that also seemed well taken care of. She wasn't exactly "clean" though. A small cut near her ear, and a few fleas. I think something in her ears as well. She can't really meow for some reason, she instead makes squeaking noises, and after getting her cleaned up and checked by the vet, the first thing she did after meeting me was lay on my shoulder and lick my neck, ear, and face. And then just sleep there.

I want kitty costumes. Shows should now start with kitty in a costume in our faces. But yeah, every cat I've ever owned was a stray cat. One jumped into our house during halloween and wouldn't leave. That one was weird, because he'd go around to other houses in the neighborhood and be their cat for a few days, then be ours again. And there were a few years that we consistently find three kittens in our yard every summer. Good thing that stopped, because we ran out of people to give cats to. The first group ended altogether at one house. She might be someone's cat around your guy's neighborhood, but she might also just be a smart stray cat. My current cat sorta looked like her when I first got her, and she was stray. Clean fur, no fighting signs, a tad thin, but in a healthy way. Oh, and I also let my cat out without a collar. She's smart though, and never goes far from our house. Maybe keep an eye on craigslist to see if anyone posts something.

Adorable cat. :D I love the coloring... And yeah: I have an indoor cat, but most cats have a feline lukemia shot because any contact they have with another cat, or you have with another cat and you touch them and/or they touch your clothes without washing first, any cat with the disease will transfer to them. It's horrendously contagious and incurable, it's a more rampant version of the AIDS virus that people have, rabies is another worry, but that's transferred with body fluids. There's a few other shots out there. But that's the ones I remember off the top of my head. Microchipping is impossible to find usually without a scanner. I just had my cat chipped and there's no sign of it, it's also usually done when the cat is neutered, mainly due to the fact the needle is huge that is used. It's better for them to be sleeping through the shot. The cat being handled like that and it's ears handled tells me it's either a very friendly feral or a stray. It most likely was abandoned by it's owners, which is sad considering how sweet it is. Most cats don't tolerate that kind of handling even as a kitten unless they had an owner at some point. I volunteered at a shelter and worked with two feral kittens just starting to interact with people, neither let me get that close to them and/or handle them. My cat tolerates it mostly, actually, she allows her paws to be handled better than mine. She was at least smart enough to keep in the shelter and then find Fraser. =3 I would say stray sadly. :( She was lucky you found her. And I probably babbled long enough... lolz... Just answering a few questions I saw in the video in more detail.

I have two cats already but I want to get a third one when I'm finally living on my own. Both my kitties are above middle-aged now so I'd like to get a younger cat to help fill the void when they eventually pass away. Also, I really like Becky's idea of naming the cat BartholoMEW. That's just precious, even if it's a girl (also, for some reason it reminds me of the "Bernards" from Wind Waker). Also, I'm pretty sure it IS a girl because it looks like a calico to me, and calico males are extremely rare. My sister had a friend once with an interesting naming convention for her cats. One was called (Proto)Zoe (protozoa) and the other was Emi(oeba) (amoeba). I had the idea to name her third cat, if she ever got one, "D-NA" (pronounced "Deena"). My cats names are Fieval (the cat in America) and Tippi, after the actress from the two Hitchcock movies "Marnie" and "The Birds", so named because she is a huge fraidy-cat. Fiev was my sister's cat first so the name was her idea. Another name she was considering if she ever got another cat was "Bambi". At one point my sister and her roommate adopted an abandoned cat named Gizmo, whom they decided not to rename because they thought "Gizmo" was awesome. Giz turned out to be preggers-McGreggors and had four kittens a week later. One was named "The Future" aka "Squirrel", another was named "Cylon", one was called "Raizo" after the main character in a movie my sister liked called "Ninja Assassin" and one was called "Kyo" after the cat from Fruits Basket. My sister now lives with her boyfriend and they have a black and white cat who looks like he has half a magician stache. His name is "Maverick". If I ever got that third cat the name for it would depend on its appearance and personality, but I'd really like to use the names Zelda, Midna, Pepper, Ginger, or "Wheaters" (after Wheatley from Portal 2). I need more boy kitty names in case I get another boy-cat.

Our cats are indoor. But we see outdoor cats in the neighbourhood all the time. They usually seem like they belong their and have collars though. This butt was crying with no collar.
