I still believe they're a reference to the Max Headroom character/show, which in turn was named after the maximum clearance sign at UK multistorey car parks. Also, the 3D era GTA games measure all distances in metres and only convert them to feet for Americans.

I think the neutral issue is because the game switches input to joystick from keyboard, so you don't actually softlock, just an input method change. Some older games do this, once you switch to a controller, keyboard inputs are disabled. (probably except the scape key to let you open the menu and switch back)

I have had multiple occurrences in my childhood - CJ tends to catch fire VERY often when using weapons aimed in first person for too long. Idk if that is a bug, I always thought it was a feature to stop you from using the OP guns (they overheat)

Josh was tryna start the car with the gear inserted. You either shift to neutral or you press the clutch to start dyom. It's literally the 1st lesson in driving school, but knowing that he always skipped driving school in SA it's only normal that this happens... 😂
