1. Love the kilala doll. Am missing the Invader Zim you had in the background of one of your older vids. 2. The US avoids a lot of research into our civil rights adherence by the simple fact that we assert ourselves as a "Democracy." That alone helps us avoid more thorough vetting of, say, the way we treat the Native tribes, Latinx Immigrants, the enforcement of New Jim Crow laws on Black Americans and even how we handle Covid. There's a meme that says if the US saw what was happening in the US, they would invade in the name of Democracy. And it's very true. Were a very authoritarian government, but most don't see it. So of course literature on things like Demicide will be incomplete. Sam Yang has argued that we're not even really a Capitalist country. At best we're a feudal capitalist country. But we're all indoctrinated in this "freedom and democracy" ideal that is not what actually goes on here.

1. You’re the only person, thus far who knows who the cat is Kilala. I’m sorry, but I gave away the invader Zim box. It smelled funky & im really sensitive regarding smell. 2. You’re 100% correct and I’m interested in learning more about feudal capitalism since I’ve never heard of the concept until now! Based on your comment here I’m betting that you’ll enjoy this week’s video. 🤫

OK I have to ask (off topic): Who/What is the stuffed animal? I’ve seen it in your vids and I wanna know lol! I love the blue guitar on the wall too - smart, beautiful and can play guitar! I love playing too. I have a blue acoustic my aunt gave to me that looks kinda like yours, a light brown Ovation acoustic, and an Epiphone semi-hollow electric guitar. Sorry I’m off topic 😄. Last thing, have you played Ghost of Tsushima yet? I’ve drifted away from Borderlands 3 and it’s a good game. OK, sorry again, and enjoyed the stream!

The stuffed animal is Kilala from the anime 'Inuyasha.' And I love it 😍

Lab Goats Ah cool! I watched a few episodes of Inuyasha a while ago and remember liking it - will have to revisit it. Thanks!

I actually enjoyed Inuyasha: the final act more than the initial series. However, you gotta watch the original to know what’s happening in The Final Act.

That’s awesome, though I can’t play music. Ghost of Tsushima, is this the game developed by the same developers who created Dark Souls? If so, I wouldn’t find myself playing that game. I’m really bad at Dark Souls. Like, embarrassingly bad.

Brief Brain Snacks I’ll look to see if they have the DVD series of it. I remember it had some sword action and lore and I’m into swords lol.

I paused ~the 50 min mark - you talk about the Great Depression and how this lead to consequences like FDR getting elected, and comparing that parallel to modern American conditions. I just want to point out that FDR was a liberal who basically saved capitalism (as you noted), but if he had NOT done that, history would have gone in a completely wild direction. Possibly could have resulted in a socialist state forming from a revolution, or could have been a (more) fascist response if someone else had been in gov't at the time, or both (civil war maybe?). Nowadays, I would contend this generation's/century's version of FDR would have been... Bernie Sanders. I think the consequences of what the Democratic party did earlier this year are gonna be severe and nobody - certainly no politician in the US gov't - seems to really, grasp this. The BLM protests in particular feels very much like a proto-revolution situation. I don't think there will be a resumption of apathy.

Very hard to say what would have happened regarding history and what didn’t take place. It certainly could have gone either way, probably fascist due to the fact that there has always been a fascist element in the US. Based on what we know about Hitler, he was inspired by US Jim Crow laws. Yikes. Oh, no doubt about the Bernie Sanders situation. I think you’re right about the Dem party. My theory is that rightwing conservatives have been working for years to take over the Dem party. They have finally succeeded in their goal. We are experiencing the two-party state becoming a one-party state. That, in and of itself, is extremely problematic. What will the left’s response be once more people realize that the Democratic Party is the Republican Party?
