I only knew who Cloud and Sephiroth were from what i heard and seen over the internet but never played nor watched a playthrough of FF7, at that point in time, so I didn’t recognize the it or the music immediately. (I actually spent years avoiding FF in general because when I finally would get into trying it I didn’t want to be spoiled.) When I saw and heard the slash my first thought was “...Vergil?” but then the camera zoomed in and I recognized Sephiroth from the pictures I had seen of him on the internet before. After buying Sephiroth dlc in Smash I then bought the FF7 port on the Switch to finally give it a try. Good game.

First time I saw Maximilian being this exited. Even when Cloud was announced in 2015 he remained ratter calm throughout the whole thing. He just went ballistic for Sephiroth. And for those who don’t know, while Maximilian DOOD is known for his engagement in the FGC… his favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy 7 (followed in second place by Bloodborne) and the video he made back when FF7R was first announced is a video the devs watched when they needed something to push them forward.
