Back when Ironforge was the only alliance AH, as soon as I reached the entrance my game freezes and I can never log back into that character. The only way me and my brothers got our nightelves through IF was by having our cousins log in and walk us to Stormwind where it was a lot less populated.

Excited for Classic since I never truly experienced Vanilla besides watching my brother play it and getting to play 20 minutes once a month if I was lucky. But I do hope the Classic Servers we will get are optimized, perhaps updated visuals and updated. There are some things in the newer version we should encourage Blizzard to implement into the Classic Servers like Group Finder. No Dungeon or Raid Finder, just a simple way to make groups. There are a lot of features we'd like to make Vanilla more enjoyable but then again, some people might be against this because this isn't the pure vanilla experience but this is where people might disagree with eachother. Should we make it tough like the old days to for example make groups or should we do otherwise? For the Alliance!

First server classic, then after some time open a new TBC server, and give the max levels and any future max levels on the classic one a free server transfer to the new tbc one if they want, its a one time offer either click to stay or click to transfer, then offer is closed, and do the same again for each new expansion.

I dunno, I always thought that people's thoughts on Vanilla was mostly just nostalgia. Combined with the fact that such a huge mmo was such a new concept to so many people. If its EXACTLY like vanilla actually was, I think people will get very bored, very fast. The grinds. I still feel it now

I think Asmongold hit it right on the nose, progression would be good for legacy servers. I honestly think he is underestimating how many people will play on the servers continuously though. At this point let’s be honest retail and legacy(vanilla) are vastly different games, if he was right that it comes out mid expansion I could see plenty of people switching between retail and legacy in a sort of season pattern. As the hype of a new expansion starts to die down, legacy or some new progression in the legacy servers comes out and the hype shifts until the next big patch in retail, which honestly I think would be great for the game, personally I love playing the game and wish I could play it more and more XD but the lull and repetitiveness of max level content in retail pushes me away, so to be able to play world of Warcraft but with 2 very different experiences and hopefully on a schedule that would keep people hyped about at least 1 at a time, sounds like a dream come true

I don't think many people who play today will be able to play on classic servers for a long time. Just the leveling aspect will wear a lot of people out. There will be A LOT of complaining on forums about mobs being too hard, dungeons not being rewarding enough, quests being too hard to find/complete, too much down-time inbetween mobs, slow flight masters and so on and so on. Hopefully Blizzard will turn a deaf ear to that and just let people either man up and accept the challenge or walk away.

Lots of people complain about how long stuff takes not(its a fraction of the time vanilla took). Tjose people will not like the insane amount of grinding n how long it takes to get to 60. Those are the 80-90percent hes talking about. U are not spoon fed gear in vanilla like newer expansions

If the gaming industry was a restaurant: I walked in to this awesome restaurante I heard some great things about. I sat down and a waiter named Allen came and asked what I wanted. What I would prefer over progressed legacy servers is an expansive timewalking with a sort of prestige system I'll explain: BC timewalking just popped up, you can do the raid, you can do the dungeons, you can do ALL of the quests in the zones scaling you down, quest rewards are timewalking badges, zone completions give you something more like a normal raid piece, leveling from 60-70 gives you timewalking badges and a piece of heroic gear maybe. Theres achievements in it, and all achievements of all timewalking events gets you a mount, infinite shadowreaver, just another skin that they love to do these days. I would like better rewards, but you know that's what they'd do, I'd still do it cause it saves me from making another character to replay those zones Edit: how about hellfire ramparts/nagramd timewalking pvp
