@@TyBrezzy11 if you’re talking to me, I was initially looking for a friend but he went with an older laptop with decent specs which was a good choice. Sorry I couldn’t give you the answer you wanted. I have a 4 year old asus tuf that works perfectly for streaming, it’s a 16gb 1050TI, I7. Should be able to get one for roughly £300-400

I think these are o.k. for watching KZbin & basic programs when running Windows 11 but that's about it. The little Celeron 6 watts processor really struggles at anything more demanding. I found that an Internet speed test went twice as fast when using Xubuntu 22.04 than W11. These run like a dream on Linux Mint 21 or Xubuntu 22.04. If you're running W11, d.l. a linux iso, & use the Rufus program to create a linux usb thumb drive.

Same, my old 2012 MacBook Pro is really starting to crap itself I need to take it apart and put an SSD in it, I'll never get rid of it because nothings glued down and has all the ports and disc drive. I still use CDs.

From Walmart, HP laptop stream, 14" various colors, windows 11 in S mode Memory 4GB, storage 64GBeMMC, Intel Celeron. For beginners and students. If you're not doing a lot of storing and need a little storage it's great! Screen is very nice and battery 🔋 life is around 11HRS, Microsoft also provides online support and will dèlite anything you don't need if you are short on storage and memory. My first new laptop. Hopefully this helped you into you're decisions to buy. Best buy told me that it's too small for the work and streaming l do so I have bought this one for $135.00 . U boat 🛥 commander 157

I know this is two years old (when I’m seeing this) but your obs settings was very wrong. I’m not an expert but if you switch it to advanced settings. You can change up the settings more. Plus it might not be good for recording but streaming might do better since it’s not trying to record to the hdd.

No he is using the laptop as dedicated streaming machine, meaning he is gaming in his main PC and the laptop do the live streaming both utilizing its capability. This is a 2021 video which mean that laptop might be a 10th gen celeron. N100 12th gen is waving, this newer celeron is equivalent of a desktop i5-7400 CPU both has a 4 Core 4 Thread and max boost clock difference is only 100Mhz however the celeron has a better IPC its a 6W CPU that can go upto 30W peak underload. You can use Quick-sync and now you can stream at 1080p 60FPS veryfast preset. If you turned off the video output display within OBS this will reduce CPU load by 30% and now you can use that to add 1 or 2 overlay. The HP laptop in the video can be optimize by doing a 720p 30FPS preset + disablingthe video output to lessen iGPU load its the biggest bottleneck even if you have an i9 laptop that uses iGPU/UHD graphics plus the option to use quick-sync to lessen CPU load that will fix the issue in this video.

if you are using OBS on a low end pc (i3 and lower) make sure to use Intel QSV as it will greatly improve performance

Any tips as to why my chat link setup makes my recording gameplay audio sound like it’s echoing or is jumbled and sounds like robot noises overtop of it. I think it might be my computer it’s self. I have a ps4 and game capture card that runs to my computer. Ive done tons of different stuff the recommended resolution and frames that Obs says to use is 480p 30fps . If I do that and get on my twitch or try recording gameplay it still lags and just doesn’t work . What’s the cheapest laptop do you recommend for me to have 1080p 60fps

Why didn't you use the Quicksync hardware encoder? The x264 software encoder pulls resources from your CPU
