Thank you for the informative video. It seems the mirror is mounted higher than the factory setting; does this affect the interior camera?

I didn't notice that it's mounted higher, but you may be right. Either way, I haven't been getting any warnings about the interior camera being blocked. I have FSD beta and it would definitely complain if it was blocked.

With the model 3 it doesn't hide the wire very well on the trunk portion when running it to the back

the biggest downside to this is the camera and how it is installed...They need to either figure out how to use the OEM camera or make a piece that replaces the OEM camera mount. The 3m adhesive just isnt a good finished look and will cause issues down the road

Thanks for the video. I just finished installing this mirror. However, I feel the mirror itself is not very stable... that metallic triangle spring that the mirror twists into is no longer tight. I'm afraid to try to turn the mirror (it fell out a few times when installing). Any advice for this? Is it possible to buy that metal piece somewhere?

You're welcome, thanks for watching. Hmm, not sure. Maybe put something in there like a piece of electric tape to kind of tighten it up ??

I just got the mirror and the mirror mounting clip is off center by 120 degrees. Struggled with it for 30 minutes before realizing the problem. Anyone else had a problem?

Really, off center? This is the first I'm hearing of this.

@@mmark300 I got a reply from tech support and they confirm that the mirror mount is slightly different. Sadly I will return the mirror. I guess there probably are not any made for a Y with HW4. I'd really like to know why this was changed!
