Ad far as content and the direction you want to take it..... I don't think id change much. The sheet metal shaping, the welding, bending frames, designing the cars, suspension and the "trailer that wouldn't work" I think everything youre foing appeals to everyone that watches your channel. If you focused on one or two things like welding dnd shaping sheet metal..... well, other guys fo that. You do it all, and to me, its a really nice package.

Mike - I saw your streamliner project when I was at the Detroit Autorama several years ago, and loved it. The shots in this video allowed me to zero in on many more of the details, and I have an even better appreciation of what a magnificent job you are doing. I also enjoyed hearing the history of the project, and how it fits in with all your other projects. My first trip to Bonneville was in 1963, and I remember the Readhead streamliner from those early days. I agree that it's one of the best-looking land speed cars ever, and you are on track to build something even better. I certainly look forward to more videos on this project!

Those who think they know it all, REALLY ANNOY’S THE ONES THAT DO! We live in a society of keyboard fabricators .. They watch to much KZbin, and want to be relevant.. so if they can drag you into a debate, They got you, so as long as you ignore them, they stay stupid, and can’t be a part of something special I see the engineering brother, crazy cool stuff, I love the creativity. There is 10 ways to get the round peg into the square hole

Awesome vision and execution Mike. Great to hear the back story on T&W Engineering. Don't know if your aware of Armor Dry Coat. It's an amazing, water soluble, flash rust preventer. I have pieces in my garage that have zero flash rust after 10 years. Sprays on like Windex. BTW.. who won your metal shapping class from merchandise sales. Love your content!!
@cornfieldcustoms9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I dont deal with flash rust much, this project has some due to me taking to Bonneville a few years back for pre inspection to this point. mostly the car has a nice layer of dust lol. The winner of the class giveaway was Rachel S. I plan to do more class giveaway contests in the future when i get some new shirt logos in.

What a fantastic project. I've watched enough of your videos that I'm a bit flabbergasted that anyone would doubt you. On thing that would be great to bring up and talk about is the speed. You're talking just under/just over 200mph or is that number the initial goal? I asked because I'm sure a lot of subscribers watch drag racing too and are pretty accustomed to 180's to 230's in the quarter mile with 468, 540, 572 ci big blocks. Nothing whatsoever as far as I can see is comparable between these two types of racing. The length of the course, fuel consumption, fuel requirements, and especially engine type and engine size. I just thought it might make an interesting chat.

Very nice, my only question is about redundant systems, I’m the chain steering would it be better to use two separate chains in case one breaks at speed?
@cornfieldcustoms9 ай бұрын
You could add a double roller gear and another chain if you wanted. The likely hood of the chain breaking is extremely low. It is high load chain with a 2000 LB rating. I will never be able to apply that kind of force by hand with a butterfly wheel. Add in the fact it will be driven maybe 15 miles a season before tearing down and inspected. So for its purpose and application I feel more than confident in a single chain.

Starting an episode out nay saying on the nay sayers and switching to “I this”, “I that”, “I changed this and engineered that”…one can only wonder how much narcissism goes into all that self promotion! How about less babbling and more doing!
@cornfieldcustoms9 ай бұрын
Lol thanks for watching. Sorry my work, and talking about a project makes you feel I have narcissistic tendencies. Your insecurities do not dictate how I operate. The reason I said I did this of designed that is because I did since I am a one man shop. I also have plenty of other videos with a lot more doing so make sure to check those out. Again thanks for watching and supporting the channel
@stevehamilton94189 ай бұрын
@@cornfieldcustoms That juvenile comment about insecurities is laughable…and you still turned it into something about you-( ..doesn’t dictate how I operate! ). That response only further validates what was said! In any event, good luck!

My thinking of You Tube watchers is that no one is making them do it. If you don't like the content or host don't watch it, instead of complaining because it's not up to their standards or expectations. Seems narcissistic is just a point of reference, someone saying your narcissistic makes them narcissistic if you think about it. Love the project. What do you think it will weigh when it's completed? Good luck.
