Good video guys. You should do more like this. From an old guys perspective I'd be choosing the Triumph. It's probably lighter than my '88 Katana 1100 (which by the way I find quite comfortable with the ergonomics, Corbin seat and very handy with the factory luggage) and that triple sound and power would keep me smiling. On a 500 mile trip I would bet any one of you would choose the Triumph out of the three of those. ;)

Harley Nightster here. Riding since November 2019, over 7k miles now. I hace swapped my shocks for longer traveles, 2 inches longer, and must say that this is a totally new bike. Even better after also swapping the seat. I have done almost 400 miles on the same day. Of course my asx felt it, but no a big deal. With stock seats I could barely comolete 100 miles.

I wish we also have that "rent a bike" here in the Philippines. Considering to buy a new bike here is an awful experience. We can only watch motorcycle reviews from owners and motorcycle reviewers and that's it. Demo or test ride from showrooms here are also seldom since there are very few dealerships who have test units. So basically, we do not have in-depth experience with a bike that we plan to buy before acutally buying it. For me having the opportunity to rent a bike is a very very good experience so you'll have a time or a day to spend with it and you can change your mind of buying one right after. Anyway, nice video everytime.

Love my Sportster! I have a 2018 48. People think Harleys are all heavy, my 48 weighs 556lbs wet. The older 48s were rough suspension wise, mine has the adjustable emulsion shocks they released in 2016 and front cartridge forks which ride much better when properly set but is still not the best. The suspension is my next upgrade haha. I would never get rid of the bike, I absolutely love it!

The way I see it, yammie picked a sporty bike that can hit the corners on a ride and excel. Spike picked a cruiser which will have very relaxed and comfortable ergos and in most cases would be comfortable. Andrews bike is the least sporty, but will take you through nasty stuff just like it's the interstate. Personally, I have a KLR, and it suffers in the sportiness department, but I load everything on it for camping trips freeing up my wife's bike so she can romp on it.

I would love to let them ride my vision or my uncle's goldwing for the talking about weight. They are really heavy bikes but feel lighter than some of our friends adventure bikes or harleys. My girlfriend just got a Sporster Low (883), and I've taken it for a few rides - you definitely feel every single imperfection in the road. Which I kinda like, it's that sorta in tune feeling, except it's so stiff that it really handles a bit rough, and feels super skittish in bumps and stuff. That water crossing was probably fine though, the weight keeps it pretty planted.

The best bike is going to come down to where you ride, what you’re doing while riding, who you’re riding with, and how much money you have. I ride alone, ride fast on freeways, and don’t have much money. The Kawasaki Zx14r is what I ride. I went through a Kawasaki Zx10r, Suzuki gsx-s1000, and a Honda Africa twin before I found what I liked best.

The newer Harley 48’s (after 2016) have beefier suspension. But still only 1.5 inches of travel in the rear🤷🏼‍♂️.

Should have added a light adventure bike like, Kawi Versys 300 or Honda CBX 500, best comfort + fun combo.

Yam... couldn’t you pick something more reliable and doesn’t require a loan to pay for servicing? Maybe a Kow KLR 650? Or the loved Yam SXR700? Sportster 1200 classic would be a better choice second - and the Suzuki DR-Z400 would have been the third in my book.
