Castlevania 3. There is a section that a lot of people really hate. I vote debunk that one.

I remember one day at high school (at a time were emulation was much easier to do) I was randomly playing this game that for some stupid reason believed it was an actual Street Fighter game (how näive I was) and enjoyed it despite being unable to beat planet 1-3, years later I got it on my 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console (enjoying it as well), THEN back in 2017 I nabbed a NES cart for about 5 bucks and is a game I would feel really hurt if I end up selling it (also... I'm not gonna lie, AVGN's video of Street Fighter 2010 made a lot of influence for me to nab the cart), and FUNNY ENOUGH, my bros. back in the 90's got the game borrowed for their friend at a game store who always loved to go outside school to offer games as well and my bros. (kinda) hate me because they failed were I succedeed (I beated the game, they never couldn't).

I commented on your last community post about this game 11 days ago, I'm really glad you were able to make a video about it! I don't 100% agree with you about your criticisms about the game, but it's fine, I'm just glad that you were able to show how the game is, and hopefully get more people interested in it, it's a great game in my opinion. So, you don't get healed between the levels of the same world, until you warp to the next world. At 8:16 you were supposed to shoot that red circular thing on the left, because it's an orb that protects your back from being shot at. When you have full powerups, you lose a bar for every hit you take, until you have only 2 bars left, and then you don't lose any more powerups unless you actually die. The end boss is super easy if you have full powerup, you don't even have to leave the wall to kill him. Personally, I love this game. My husband plays this all on a single life, and in the second to last level, is able to take zero damage, even on the spot where you have to hang down while the spheres go over you. I love hearing the music, it feels like some of the best music in the NES era. For another debunking episode, I suggest Double Dragon 3. Please when you do that video game, try to pause the gameplay for the second level of the pyramid, because it has a really long song on there that you don't hear the entirety of in normal gameplay. You pause just after you beat the guys on the ledge and you get to a elevator platform that you jump to. If you delay that jump, you get to listen to a song that goes for 3 minutes before it repeats itself. It really is great song.
@Amanda-gg6kz2 жыл бұрын

In my opinion, the controls are perfect. Learning to use the moveset is how you master the game. If this game were like contra, it would be too easy. Ken is powerful, and throwing punches and kicks is super sweet! Granted, you can cheese some bosses, but between the action, the music, the style and challenge, 2010 ten is an underrated gem.

The whole losing your power-ups when you get hit but don't die is like Mario. You have the fire-flower, but get hit once you'll lose it, but you're still alive. You have any power-up, you'll lose it after getting hit just once. Looks like they took a page from Mario's playbook. lol

I had some aging friends that liked NES, and they had a copy of this. I wanted one not long after. But in my case, I ended up using a game genie, gold with black strap, to beat the tar out of that game again and again until I knew it so well I took the Genie off. I absolutely did once play this game in one life, while managing to keep my level ups high. I liked to drag the little orb through the enemies during the back flip, and you can shoot them at the top of the flip too. So I didn't take too many hits and found my way through, but that took an ungodly amount of practice.

I really like this game a lot. It has a handful of frustrating moments that I would describe as "Mega Man difficulty". That is, a few parts prey on the player not knowing what's coming and lure you into a death trap. But the game isn't as tough as I think it's reputation has made it out to be. I'd call it an unsung gem of the NES.
