i'm a third strike fanboy, but man, we can't deny that 2nd impact had his own charm, yeah 3rd strike feels better in the gameplay department and art direction, but NG and 2nd impact feels more in line with the OG sf 2 (and have some zero/alpha vibes in it)

Yeah I noticed that too. NG and 2ndI were definitely trying to be a sequel to SF2 (with things like lose/win screens) while third strike kinda became its own thing.

It's really funny, 2nd Impact was probably the height in terms of production value, and it especially shows on how the stages look. 2nd Impact has probably the best stages in any SF game. 3rd Strike refined the gameplay but there's something about 2I that just feels right to me

Actually retract that, they aren't making ARCADE fighters like they used to. they're spending too much effort on the tournament prospect, rather than just making the game fun and letting people play the fun game in a tournament.
