The intro when Terry Bogard jumps to get his jacket is a reference to Real Bout Special Terry's intro ("Let's Party!!!"), the ex power Wave is a reference to Fatal Fury/ Real Bout Special/ SNK heroines' power Wave and the Last geyser in triple power geyser is similar to Neo Geo battle colliseum. The angle of victory pose is similar to Smash Bros.

Believe it or not, the start of Terry's Rising Fang is a shout to to the first _Fatal Fury_ OVA. And his EX Power Wave? Animated like how it is in the very first _Fatal Fury_ game.

Boa man! Podia ter pego os movimentos originais de RB1, RB2 e RBDM, pois foi a base dos movimentos são de lá, ao invés das verses de KOF (como o soco duplos "Quick Burn" e o "Fire Kick"), mas é muito trabalho pra pouco tempo, e deve ter pego o que estava fresco na memória mesmo, entendo; mas por "culpa sua", agora vou ter que pegar as referências originais eu mesmo pra fazer minha análise!

Capcom absolutely COOK, man the Buster Wolf animation, I love that now the impact is so strong that Terry now rebounds a little and his jacket is floating like a cape moving by the wind force after the attack finish.

Round Wave special cancel to Power Geyser is doable in KOF 2001. And for the first time, a super move based on Rising Tackle. I think I heard it as RIsing Fang? Bang? No, seriously. I have played most of the KOF games and crossovers where Terry is present and none of those have it. What makes it more interesting is the action after the Senpuuken. I really think Terry got some hints from Ken's SHINRYUUKEN. And that Rising Fang / Bang finisher... It seems Terry now realized that his Power Geyser isn't limited to the ground / surface. He can just use the opponent's body as the ground / surface for the Geyser

P. Geyser and B. Wolf are so iconic that they tend to be preferred to be the thematic base of any new "ultra move" made for him (the top level super that each game calls with a different term). So there's little room for Rising Tackle... but Capcom surprisingly wanted to go outside the box and make this unpredictable new super.

It's the Hakkyokuseiken Hadou Senpu Kyaku (Wave Motion Whirlwind Kick) that Geese Howard desperately wanted from Tang(Terry's sensei who trained both Terry's adoptive father and Geese Howard). However, it's more of a Senpuken(Whirlwind Punch). In any case, it's an original Capcom move. They might not have got the okay to use Senpu Kyaku from the OVA.

That kind of atmosphere doesn't exist anymore, I think it was slowly toning down since the early 00s or very late 90s. I mean, CvS happened around that time. And SNK at that time was on the verge of dieing (their last games were out in 00 and they closed officially in 01), so they would not even profit from that collaboration but they went with it.

There's a kind of talk show thing that Harada (from TK) has on YT called "Harada's Bar" (there's eng subtitles btw) where he said one time that the major fg devs sometime have casual dinners with each other and those kind of things. He wasn't specific about the people but it probably involves at least the makers of SF (and also Ono before Nakayama), KOF, VF and FEXL. Like, I'm not sure if GG's Ishiwatari is involved too. Also no idea about DOA's devs. But anyways that is a sign of great relation between many of the major fg devs. Also I'm not sure how it goes specifically between SF's Nakayama and KOF's Oda, but Nakayama said in an interview that he asked Oda to use Terry and Mai in SF6 at the last year's Evo, and it happened. And Haohmaru got in SC, and Terry got in FEXL, Mai got in DOA, and Baiken got in Samurai Shodown, and Skullomania got in SNKH... So I get an idea that SNK is chill will everyone. I'm just curious about how chill Arika is with Capcom, because I wanted a FEXL/SFEX guest in SF. And how chill Arc Systems is with Capcom... because I wanted to see Collab between the two... Ideally commissioning a whole game. Like Bandai Namco comissioned Arcsys to make DBFZ.

O Terry da Capcom parece que fizeram captura de movimento, sendo que o único que parece que não foi feito via mo-cap foi o Rising Tackle. O da SNK parece que foi animado via animação quadro a quadro, com cada movimento entre um keyframe e outro inserido manualmente. Um trabalho de corno. Os dois trabalhos são impressionantes. E a Capcom realmente mostrou a força que é preciso ter pra humanamente conseguir socar um cara e ele voar por dois metros de distância na vertical, no arremesso simples. Não é humanamente possível pra qualquer um. O cara tem que ser muito forte.

Os movimentos do Terry no Street Fighter 6 estão realmente bacanas, até sua pose de vitória está bacana, muito bom mesmo, porém esse rosto...pelo amor de Deus!! É pecaminoso!! Terry não está bonito de jeito nenhum, o motor gráfico fez mal a ele nesse Street Fighter, se ao menos eles fossem usar o gráfico do Street Fighter 5 que é mil vezes mais bonito que essa abominação, acredito que ele iria ter mais holofotes.

The SF6 face modelers miss the mark several times in this game. It's just strange that everything looks so beautiful except the faces a lot of the time. I'm beginning to change my opinion on why the game puts boxes on the enemies so often. Maybe they weren't satisfied with the faces.

Art style difference. Same case when a character is drawn by another artist with a very different art style. So this is the first time Terry is modelled with a 3d art style with a more realistic side.

Capcom put way more effort for terry than how SNK's ever did to their games

Budget and ability, more than effort or passion, etc. SNK is a smaller company and the staff is unqualified at these modern 3d tech. They were 2d focused even in the PS3 gen, with KOF 13, and neglected investment in 3d tech... And this is the result. Sure it's all their fault, and bad business decisions (like the own creation of KOF 12-13), but the whole point is that it's just been an organic development and not lack of effort or lack of passion. Actually NRS would probably be in a similar struggle in the PS3 gen if they weren't picked by a giant like Warner... because if you remember well, their transition to 3d was horrible, since MK4 to those PS2 games that looked much worse than contemporaries made by Namco and Sega like VF4, SC2, TK4, etc. SNK is in a bad shape because their franchises don't have nearly the same reach of MK, so the company is fated to have a slow pace progress with each new release.

@@LEGNDARY_MISTI think you’re looking exclusively at graphical fidelity and nothing else lol. I think he looks great from a gameplay perspective but the “realistic” look of SF6 doesn’t look great on all characters, and Terry is one of those characters. He looks much better in Fatal Fury and KOF, especially in regards to his face. SF6 made him look old and sort of homely, he’s never looked like that in the SNK games. None the less I’m just glad my boy is in the game, he’s my favorite fighting game character of all time and Capcom did him justice in MOST regards.
