I remember I bought this game for 9.99 at Best Buy. The game wasn’t even worth the price because it was boring compared to the other Street Fighter games. I was still in school back then, back pain was non existent, my eyesight was pretty good, and I was so young. This just brings back the memories, and another reminder that I’m getting old…LOL.

Mortal Kombat's influence even here with the digitized graphics of live humans. The Street Fighter movie was a good example of how difficult it is to match the style and look of the Street Fighter 2 arcade cartoon characters.

This was an unique takes on the Street Fighter II game engine and kind of like this game for that. I always saw it as a Street Fighter game set in an alternate universe.

Problem is the console version sucks and this, the arcade version, never had the chance to be really played by everyone... not then and not now through virtual console and etc. My memory is from the Saturn version, urgh. I wish it was a port of the Arcade...

@@redacted2275 The console game based on the movie was pretty good to me. It played just like Super Street Fighter II Turbo didn't have the smooth controls of said game. The only major problem is that the game is not balanced. It is also the first Street Fighter game featuring powered variant of special move. I remember E.Honda's powered version of the Oicho throw dealing almost 40% of damage and can be used over and over!

This makes me appreciate Mortal Kombat's use of digitized characters. Which admittedly even for the more "rustic" look in that game it looks more natural and fluid than on this game. Here, the characters just look clunky. Street Fighter characters was definitely never meant to be anything else other than animated characters.

It has nothing to do with SF characters. The MK team could have made a great conversion themselves. There were lots of MK clones released at that name, and not based on any "animated" characters, and they all look terrible, even worse than this SF.

It can work, after the disaster that the arcade was, for the sega saturn, capcom decide to take the matters into their own hands. For the saturn version of SF2 the movie, they reused the graphics but, put them over SSF2T frames, basically reskinning their own game, doesn't play all too bad either.

Blade was actually Gunlock Guile’s brother from the game Saturday Night Slam masters there was one that had flames, bombs and knives Blade was knives. He was meant to represent characters who weren’t in the game like Dalsiem and T Hawk, it was K7, Arkane, and Kyber if I remember correctly. And Akuma was played by Ernie Reyes Sr. In the game

They connect so many games together it’s insane but hey more you know am I right?

Get a nice big BOW outbreak in Metro City, call in the BSAA, Captain Commando and the Commando team, Super Joe and the Bionic Commando and just give us a sandbox beatemup shooter survival horror. Wily and Light can be scientific advisors during the outbreak and Frank West can be an embedded journalist.

This game is in need of an HD remaster. I think its not bad. Needs tweaking, more animations, offcourse better graphics, but most of all some TLC. Maybe some MK 11 attention. I'm sure they can map those face textures to something like in MK11, they got Stallone, Robocop, T800 in it already... Maybe they MK ii should develop an add-on in collaboration of course with SF.
