Sorry I’m REALLY late for the party (I almost forgot about this video), but this video is awesome; the music makes me wish the city I live in still had that drive-in theater. Love Zeku; I even managed to perform a 3-EX combo that does almost as much damage as his Critical Art: EX Bushin Sho to EX Hozanto, then quickly jump and execute EX Bushin Sandoku Otoshi. It was insane and satisfying. One last thing: After Arcade Edition releases next week, any chance of doing a Sakura movelist video? She’s one of my favorite SF characters.

IMO he's cooler than Guy. But Guy is more nostalgic to me. I wish Guy gets some of these moves if he returns in an SF game.

At first, I thought Zeku's alternate costume was just for aesthetics with no effect on game play. Boy, I was totally wrong. How does Zeku's V-Trigger actually work? Looks like a simple Zig Zag Magic Series to me (shoutout to James Chen). But does he need to actually complete the cycle, or can it be shortcutted to a simple Jab, Forward, Fierce kind of combo?

You can press for example LP-MP-HP or LK-MK-HK, but it serves no purpose, normal attacks during Idaten are not special or super cancelable. This is why the main idea is to dish out as much damage as possible, and also to be safe on block I'd say. You cannot start a "Zig-Zag" chain combo with a kick button, as mentioned in the video above, and the special ender is they best way to finish this move. So standing or crouching LK-LP or MK-MP or HK-HP combinations are not possible, LP-MP-MK is possible, same with LP-MP-HP-HK, but best and safest is LP-LK-MP-MK-HP-HK-(HP+HK)=ender. LP-MP-MK-HP-HK-(HP+HK) and MP-MK-HP-HK-(HP+HK) inflict more damage.

He's 2 in 1 like Kinder Surprise, you just have to learn both forms as if you were learning 2 characters. Zeku's forms share the same V-Trigger(except the ender), V-Reversal and Critical Art.

Well, Zeku _IS_ Guy's sensei, and he was the 38th master of Bushinryu, before he passed the title of 39th to Guy when Guy bested him in battle.

Yeah.....I still don't get the tech being displayed here around 2:44, for the old and young forms. It all just looks like a bunch of button mashing to me, and no video online seems interested in giving a coherent explanation of the buttons that make sense. :/

This is a general explanation of the buttons, I can't use platform specific ones. Basically, after pressing Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick, Zeku dashes forward, during that dash you can chain attacks quickly by pressing them one after another, hence the button mash. Hope it helps!

@@kingchickenwing4887 Both V-Triggers are just attacks, no super special properties. The first one is a dash during which you can cancel normal moves into one another, Marvel Vs Capcom style.
