Haven't been back to Penang for maybe 12 years now but seeing Uncle Roger's beautiful dedication to Bourdain I made up my mind to make the trek back to Penang from Australia this year and perhaps show my kids where I was born, grew up and went to school. I was too young to appreciate all this great food but these videos really have me emotionally hooked 😄

When I landed at Penang airport from Hong Kong by way of Kuala Lumpur en route, my host took me to a pure white huge food court that had a minimum of 30 food vendors inside to choose from. I've never been able to find it again. Best food I found in Penang. Absolutely delicious. Beef, chicken and especially seafood kebabs were my focus. Soups, too. My hotel had an AMAZING fruit, juices, breads, cereals, and teas and coffee buffet. No meat. But it was enough to keep you going until lunch.

All of these cultures are represented in Malaysian society. This is why Malaysia is known as "Malaysia Truly Asia" because all of Asia can be found in Malaysia.
