What's it cost to build a 6.7 cummins to a reliable 1000hp with built trans?

Looking at buying either another 5.9 or a 6.7. I’m going for the 06-07 5.9 or the 08 6.7. Which engine is better for performance upgrades? Wanting to get around the 1000hp range. Which one is better to start with?

The 5.9 has less to delete and an easier transmission to beef up. These guys often do 48re swaps on the newer Dodges because of the limitations on the newer transmission. All stock dodge transmissions are mushy until upgraded.

Question. On a 2018 6.7 deleted. Do you recommend heater grid delete and why do you like Banks Monster Intake horn? If I did this wat difference do you think I would see? They say quicker turbo spool up. Do you agree?

At that power level, we do not see real world gains from an intake horn, buy it if you like the way it looks, dont buy it for performance.

That monster horn is for maximum airflow. I’d bet it doesn’t help if you’re flowing under 100 pounds a minute of air.

1,000-1,300 hp+ trucks running stock intake horns even on 5.9’s all day long if your going for looks buy a amazon special and quality gaskets to seal everything up freshly. Paint it to your personal color and save alot of $$$

I believe he meant rail sensor since he said it allowed him to command more rail pressure
