About 10-12 years ago here in MD I used to run a '68 GTS - full interior, no cage but frame tied, registered, fully insured, MD tagged, "really street legal", built nasty stock 440 w/ apprx 650hp including the 150-200 shot NX. ( It made it in "Readers Rides" of Mopar Racing magazine back in the day ) It was never ever trailered !!! ever,ever !!... I'd pull the slicks from trunk and change the pep boy tires w/ dog dishes out at the track and crack some ass and drive back home 1-1/2 hrs... I was asked not to come back to our 3 major tracks in our area by the owners and operators. They'd say "go put the car back on the trailer and dont come back until your caged " and I'd have to tell them I didnt bring it on a trailer, I drove it here an hour to hour and half... ( I didnt want to put a cage in it, the car was to nice a sleeper)... Big Chief, you already know all racing is all relative. Keep up the good work on your turbo research, I know its at the heart of your mission now... I have seen some nasty turbo cars the past few years ! wowza.... Your definetalely onto something ! I miss racing and havent had a race car for a few years now tho... Congrats on yalls sucess and sucess of the show, I will keep watchin Street Outlaws...
