Joaquin and Nicholson’s Jokers were fantastic, but Heath’s Joker was otherworldly. I still remember when Heath was casted and everyone was furious (myself included.) We were like “Wait, you mean that dude from every 90’s chick flick? Come on..” Later that year the trailer dropped and we all immediately shut the fuck up. It was obvious to everyone Heath had tapped into something extraordinary. Up until this point actors were hesitant to take on the role because everyone believed it was impossible to match Jack Nicholson’s performance in the 90’s film. It turns out everyone was wrong. This guy has strikingly similar mannerisms and his movements are a lot like Heath's. That's either natural (he just happened to be that way and recognized it) or else he spent hours perfecting it. Either way, for a cameo role, I'm guessing an audience watching a movie wouldn't really be able to tell the difference.

Problem is he may do absolutely amazing in that role but what happens when there’s no more joker roles to fill? That’s what a lot of them don’t because they’re good for one film or one character and unless you can fit that character into the cast it’s a one movie deal

You dont want that. No. Mimicking isnt the same as acting. Doing what Heath Leager did in the Dark Knight based OF how he played it would actually show itself for what it is. That’s simply not how to maintain a character. He’s fine for these sort of things, but acting in a sequel to the ORIGINAL based on a mimic is a wholly other thing
