I love that Dome building. America has some beautiful architecture I noticed visiting from Australia many years ago. Perhaps concentrating on that building with varying angles could be a good project. Appreciate your work on here.

I love the dome building too! I think I’m going to try a strong telephoto and zoom in on the dome next time I am there.

Nice shots! I really liked the pigeon flying between the buildings the best.

Got some nice shots Phil. Good lens for street photography. Thanks for sharing the walk around the town

Thank you, Adrain! When I bought my R6, I got the cheaper version of this focal length as a kit. When I bought my R6 Mark II, I spent the extra money to get this f/4 L lens. I love it for street, landscape and even some well lit sporting events. In other news, my camera store called me today. My Nikkor 180-600 is here! I should have it in a day or two.

It's great that you try different types of photography on the channel! I tend to stick to the same type of photography I need to broaden my horizons. You made some nice panning and street shots! I struggle with street photography as well. Not only with taking photos of unsuspecting people but also with making interesting images on the street. You did a great job. Cheers.

Thanks for that, Phil! A couple weeks ago, I did some weekend street photography in the Chattanooga Aquarium area, but I need to search out the streets and alleys you've shown here. Great locations!
@PhilThach Жыл бұрын
Thank you! My favorite area in Chattanooga and the area I worked on in this video is bordered by 7th Street to the north, ML King St to the South, Pine st to the west, and Georgia Avenue to the east. All of Chattanooga's best alleys are in this area. I usually park on 8th Street at a meter and work for a couple of hours.

@@PhilThach, thank you for the information. That's a huge help! One of these days, either chasing birds or on the streets of Chattanooga, I hope we run into each other.

I have been thinking about getting that lens. I have never done street photography and I am not sure I could.

I’m really happy with that lens. It’s great for street photography, landscape photography. It can even be used for sports if the lighting is bright and it’s not too shabby for portraits!

I am kinda done with downtown street to be honest with you. It seems like every time I have went out recently that the panhandlers see me and wont leave me alone anymore. It is really frustrating to not be able to just enjoy my time without the nonstop sales pitches from them. Your photos are really cool, you know I really liked the panning blur photo myself. 😬🤷🏻♂️📸 Enjoyed it a ton!
@PhilThach Жыл бұрын
Thank you, David! I usually don't get bothered much if any at all. Maybe it's the area that I work in or maybe it's because I usually do my street photography in the morning on a work day.

@@PhilThach Maybe that is what I am going to have to do too. I know it will get better once it gets cold too, so I have that going for me. Haha.

Hey Phil, have you considered using the 70-200? With more distance, it might get you over the concern of taking pics of strangers. Regardless, I would like to see it on a future vid.
@PhilThach Жыл бұрын
Functionally it is great, but people don’t like it when you point a big white lens of them in my experience. Thank you!

@@PhilThach haha yeah a big white might scare them off.

Nice job! I’m always in FV mode lol.
@PhilThach Жыл бұрын
Thank you, I usually use FV mode too, I just set up some good non-blur settings for M so I could switch quickly if someone walked through the intersection to my left while I was working on panning blurs.
@MrEcliptor Жыл бұрын
Very clever. I gotta set my C1,2,3 modes up like that if I know I’m going to be encountering multiple situations repeatedly. Lol.
