I'm really enjoying your videos, Tommy - and my used X10 just arrived a few days ago. Loving it so far, and right now just figuring out the settings that are best for me. I'm a landscape painter, so any camera I have is something I'll use to gather reference for art - but taking pictures has been a fun hobby all my life, and this little camera has everything I need and more :-) Thanks for inspiring me to buy one.

Thanks! It might be a good investment for You :) I would have no problem to take shot at landscapes as well. The instruction manual for this camera can be find online in pdf, it is a thick read, but it explain some of this special creative modes that are fun to play around. Also the EXR mode gonna take all the details from the photo and do most of any shot. Give it a try. Cheers!✌️😊

I love your videos Tommy. I bought an x10 in December for a super price. I have the x100v, Canon R8, Canon M50 mk ii, and a Lumix x10 which I love too, but this little camera has become my favorite one to use. It does take great pics. Also, even with the EXR mode with the 6 megapixels they can be very good. I have a question for you. What settings do you use most when you are out shooting? just curious. I see from your photos that you are in A mode and shooting JEGS. Have you shared this information in other videos on the x10? Cheers to you!

Hi! So glad that you enjoy my videos and adventures with x10! I experiment quite a bit with settings. It depends how much light is available, But for B&W usually my start settings are: A mode F2.0 ISO 400 DR 400. That makes Jpgs more flexible for some small adjustments, I also have Image stabilisation turned on. For Color I use Astia with similiar settings. If the day is really bright I might use lover ISO or adjust aperture. Really funny mode is Miniature mode in Advanced mode on the mode dial, its little hidden there, it gives you a tilt shift effect but also really vibrant and nice colors! Happy shooting! If you have any more questions ask away! :)

@@TommyNordpole Thank so much for the info. I love Astia, I think it is one of my favorite film sims. I will try some of these settings. I had watched a video on the x10 from "One Month Two Cameras" - both your videos and her's helped me make the decision to try to find an x10. She mentioned that if she was not shooting for a broader project, she'd shoot in EXR all the time. I took the lazy way and was shooting mostly with it and got some great photos, but (a caveat) in that mode nothing else works. After watching a few of your POV's I decided to change it up. This camera (with the lens) is just a treasure! Thanks for your videos, so so helpful! =D

All of my seven Fujifilm cameras are "better" than Tommy's X10... and all of Tommy's photos are better than mine 😂

I really like your approach to street photography. It triggered my love for it so I’ll keep it up again. I just ordered an X-Pro1 as my Sonys are too techy for street, if you know what I mean. 😂
@TommyNordpole9 ай бұрын
I know! People really enjoy x-pro 1, should be a fun camera for street photography and you can switch lenses as well! My semi pro canon is gathering dust in my drawer. For what I do now this small Fujifilm cameras works perfectly! Have fun! Cheers! ☺️✌️

@@TommyNordpole I thought about getting the X10 but somehow I ended up getting the X-Pro. I held it in my hands at a street workshop in 2014 and love it since that day.

Why do I need to be sneaky? Don't know why I would be feeling shame to take a photo in the street and I make a lot of photo of people, I like the look of the people when they remark me shooting it make my photo more interesting. I like people and I am not afraid of them. But everyone has their own vision of things, do it like it's for you. ( by the way I never shoot children in the Western world and you know why ).
@TommyNordpole8 ай бұрын
I am not always “sneaky” This video is about this type of approach 😅 some days I am more brave and even talk with people I photograph. Many starting photographers avoid any confrontation, and shoot more candid frames. Generally in Norway if you don’t harass people with your camera and attitude, its a pleasure to take photographs of others. Photographing children’s its mostly a no no everywhere. Cheers ✌️😊

Secretly taking photos centered on single persons is a little creepy tbh, be careful doing that in europe :D
@TommyNordpole9 ай бұрын
I think that the more experience you got doing that, the safer you are. And from my experience in Norway, if you are not intrusive, and honest with your intentions it will be alright most of the times. I see why this is considered to be cringe and weird, and some times you have to confront your subjects, in the end of the day it is just some photographs, if somebody have a problem i just delete it. Thanks 😊
