Thanks for sharing your information and some great shots. I like your choice of 200 speed, for outdoor shooting, as you can keep your shutter speed up in the shadows, without sacrificing sharpness, when offhand shooting. Used to shoot a lot of 35mm, back in the day, and enjoyed some of the pro grade films available atcthe time (ie: Kodak Ektar). With todays technology, I still firmly believe that new shutterbugs should learn to shoot full manual, as it opens up soooo much fun later, to play around with creative compositons, behind the lens!! Cheers, from an old Kodak employee!!

@RobbieMaynardCreates Some good times back then! I used to do field service for them in Office Imaging, so got some experience with lenses, in high speed copier/duplicators, at up to 2 frames/second!! I remember when then first came out with the digital cameras for consumers, as EVERY KODAK EMPLOYEE was shipped one for free!! On the shutterbug side, when shooting outdoors nature, used to play around with depth of field, to accentuate objects of choice (hint hint, for another video AND YOUR SHOOTING ENJOYMENT)!!

I found 124G a great value. For 120 bucks it delivers very sharp images. I took mine as a starter into MF from 35mm and I can recomment it for such purpose. My copy is a bit off with first shot versus counter, thus I compesate it by loading it half frame further from reference marking. Even the exposure meter is usable when compesated the error by ISO shift. You don't need mercury battery, put alkaline one and calibrate vs Gossen. Great camera.

I've never noted that Gold 200 120 is more difficult to spool on my Patterson reels, but I did notice it is a lot thinner. I find it actually quite easy to spool because it does not curl as much as the thicker stocks. Love your images as always

Thats interesting. Its the only film I have to put a weighted clip on the end while its drying to keep it from curling too much

I find it interesting to go about in what are normally busy places when the people are off doing something else, but if you were looking to get portraits then I can see why that would be a bummer. At least you got a few shots of Bill :) Until next time

It was definitely a nice change of pace. Its usually too busy to feel comfortable shooting and recording at the same time.

I never owned a G, but I had the Yashica 12 and updated the screen to an Oleson. Ultimately I sold it because it annoyed my OCD since the meter didn't work. From there I got a Rolleiflex, but that was't for me - too much money in a non-primary camera. From there I bought an Autocord "Export" 1958 model. I've put maybe 20 rolls through that now. I just had a Mamiya C220 show up Friday to compare against the Cord'. The closer MFD prompted me to look at the Mamiya. I haven't shot it yet, but my general impression is the screen is a little better than the Autocord and Rolleiflex, fat better than Yashica. I already expect I'll be keeping the C220 and selling the Autocord. Great video as always sir!

Take this with a grain of salt but from what I know you have to make sure you advance the crank and the crank it backwards into its folded position in the body to avoid jamming the shutter.

Yeah, after watching the footage back, I realized I didnt pull the advance back

Weird that you feel like gold is thinner, I think it's the thickest film I've loaded. Thinnest I've used by far is Silberra.

I mostly shoot color negative and its by far the thinnest film I have shot. I typically dont shoot cheap bw film since most bw film is already cheap lol

Hi, I would like to buy my first analog medium format and I'm undecided whether to get a Yashica Mat 124 G or the Mamiya 645. Can I ask you which one would you recommend? Thank you
