Street Photowalk in Melbourne | Sony ZV-1

Hello, hello!
In this street photography video, I am operating outside of my comfort zone. No flash photography and I am trying "zone focussing", yep....manual focussing!
I set the camera's aperture tp f/5.6, I manually focussed the lens at approximately 3' (1-metre) away, set the ISO to auto and away I went. I have to say, the method worked perfectly! Though I still prefer "flash" photography!
I met some awesome people, most being Photographers who actually made my day! Thanks guys!

Hey JD! First time seeing your video when I was researching ZV 1 ii and the ZV E10. Your style of vlogging is amazing! Very authentic and giving a perfect review to the gear and sharing your UX on the camera! Definitely got a lot of insights. Did you have a chance to shoot around with the ZV E10 or the A6400? I’m considering these for shooting portraits and my dogs and maybe some vlogging on the side. Thanks a lot in advance and again I love your video! Ed

G’day Ed! Thanks for your question and kind words, greatly appreciated 👍 I’ve never used the ZVE10 - sorry. However, I once owned a copy of the Sony 6400. That was a good camera at a low ISO, especially when you pair it up with a fast compact lens. The reason why I primarily use the Sony ZV-1 is because it has a leaf shutter which is perfect for flash Photography, it’s compact and has a 24 to 70mm equivalent zoom lens, built-in and it has a fully articulating screen, great for vlogging. If you’re primarily taking portraits, I would probably go with the Sony ZVE 10 or the Sony 6400 as I think both have a APSC sized sensor which is bigger than the little Sony ZV-1 sensor. 😎✌️

@@jdstrobist hey JD! Thank you really much for your suggestion and sharing. I ended up picked up the ZVE10 mark 1 which is an incredible camera. It turns out that I like shooting photography more than videos, so I think I made a good choice. And somehow, I also got the kit lens of Mark 2 which is very enjoyable so far. Definitely paving away from myself to the rabbit hole of changing different lenses. Thanks a lot! Ed
