One of them was installed at a crossing that was problematic, and it has not fixed the issue. To be honest, the median should probably just be closed and gated at that particular location. 'Round these parts, we have a growing number of actual traffic signals for pedestrian crossings; push the button and *double* red lights come on. @waldolemmerАй бұрын
Imagine teaching people to swerve into adjacent lanes instead of just paying attention and keeping a safe following distance. Sure, braking takes time, but so does checking the left mirror and blind spot. And if you miss the blind spot check, the accident could be a lot worse than a rear-end collision after braking. Rather drive a driver in a stationary car into the back of their seat than send the 60 mph box of metal next to you spinning uncontrollably into highway traffic. General statements like "prefer swerving over braking, as long as you check the mirrors first" are dangerous. That could turn a slow-speed rear-end collision on a quiet road into a lethal collision with a filtering/splitting cyclist or motorcycle or a pedestrian crossing the street.

Going the speed limit is only a guide but when it's raining/snowing it's not safe going the speed limits posted. The same thing is true when traffic is heavy, going speeds as posted become less safe meaning that you might be going too fast for the conditions. Conditions are amount of traffic & those of the road surfaces plus the two combined. Always slow down & don't assume it's all ok just b/c you're under the posted limits. Just be wise b/c the life you save might be your own...... peace & GB ALL

#5 That wasn't a tire exploding, that was one of the truck's air springs (or air bags as some know them) rupturing. A fairly common occurrence as they are made from rubber that's only a few milimeters thick and usually not reinforced. There's two per axle (one on either side) along with shock absorbers and they bear the weight of the entire truck and their life is rough. They are pressurized to, up to, 150psi and wear out so often that my supply company keeps an entire isle of our warehouse stocked with a wide variey of air springs. When they pop, they are loud and can easilly be mistaken for a tire popping, but the lack of tire deflation, but the entire chassis falling down to the tire tells me it was an air suspension bag failing, not a tire.

It would be useful if building supply sales points had advisory signs for loading, securing and transporting sheet type products. The forward facing edge needs to be shielded from airflow or tightly secured. Fortunately I had not even left the parking lot when polycarbonate panels leaning against the cab from the pickup bed caught the air on the edge projecting above the roof. All the sheets flexed at the tie down bungee, and I hit the brake.

Scofflaw! Haha! That's the first time I've heard that! 😂 Not totally sure about the bird on the front of that car. America has the Great Egret, but that one didn't seem exactly "great" size wise, so it may have been a juvenile. But then I'm not familiar with US species.

James R. was tailgating. He was also lucky. Don't praise his skill for getting himself out of a situation he never should have been in.

As an Aussie, I can explain who was in the wrong on Angela’s crash. The Red Hyundai should’ve waited because in Australia, even with a green light, you have to wait for other cars to drive through before turning. So in this case, the Red Hyundai is at fault.

10:50 - And even better that swerving around dangerously is a good traffic observation and enough distance to react.

If you ever need to pull over on the highway to check on someone having an accident. If you can always try to pull over after their vehicle. If worst case someone didn't pay attention and plow through. At least you can use the other vehicle as shield

I can personally attest to the "steering instead of breaking" thing. Lots of brake slamming assholes in the resort where I live. Until one time it didn't work. Rainy evening. Dude slammed on his brakes WAY too early for a semi backing into a road like .5 a mile ahead of us. I tried to swerve into a parking lot, but instead ended up running over a stop sign.

1:07 one of the cars racing took the exit ramp to escape and blend in with that flow of traffic. Just sad.

Not saying that the red Rav4 isn't an asshole, but he didn't purposely go over there so much as he happened to get lucky while losing control and not hit the barrier.
