@@PolyProphet I just got $190 worth of brand new children’s books, that I can donate to charity. I got a display cabinet worth $99, a 180cm diameter rug worth 45 and sooooo many baby clothes, swaddle blankets, swaddle pouches, bedding and socks. All brand new and ready to go to those in need!! Look out for a Kmart close to you and if they have a dumpster, then you’ll get lucky. Watch dumpster diving downunder because that’s the sorts of things you can find!! The only thing wrong out of the whole haul was that the cabinet came without hardware, but ‘m sure I can find screws and lugs so I may be able to put it together for someone.

@@PolyProphet you might get hooked like me! I’m going again tonight as Kmart closes at 6pm on a Sunday. This is a better time for me to go because I’m going alone. When they shut at 9 on the other nights it makes for a very late night if you’ve got a lot of stuff to dig out of the dumpster. It was half 11 the other night when my daughter and I finished. Have a crack and video it for us?!? It’s very addictive 😵💫🤗

You forgot to test if the shiny silver stove at 21:23 was stainless, it looked commercial grade so it may have been stainless on 3 of the 4 sides. Do you not remove the low grade wire from inside the appliances? It adds up fast and can bring in a bit of extra money once you have enough.

Wanted to ask you,why are there so many bikes at curb for trash?my state prisons here will pay a dollar up to 3 dollars for bikes depending on condition of them.the inmates then take them apart and fix ones that need fixed.they then sand them down and repaint them.the ones that need no work they wash them up and sit them aside.they then at Christmas time along with Marines corp league and other charities hand them out to low and poor income families.they make them new again and not only get satisfaction of helping the kids,but learn a trade also.the program has been doing very well for over 40 years and in recent years have branched out into other toys like wagons,scooters,tonka toys and toy cars.i see you pick up a lot of items they fix up and wonder if they have some sort of program like that there in australia.on side note not all inmates are part of program as the ones who done horrible crimes can't take part,to easy to get hands on things to make a weapon.the ones who do this program are low end offenders like drug charges,book making and such.
@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
That’s like $5AUD per bike. That’s better than scrap at the moment so I’d definitely take them there. I’ve never heard of such a program here. Thanks Nevin 🙂
@nevinwalter2 жыл бұрын
I seen some of them before my disability when playing Santa claus.they looked like came from store not along road and fixed up.a lot of stores put donations jars out saying what it being used for and the money pays for 90% of parts and paint.they might have broken the law but they not only servings time,but doing good at same time.from what I understand a marine pushed this idea to his state rep and model after a program from 60's that firefighter did in California for needy kids.

Congrats on another great video. Shout out to Nacho Stuff for letting us know about your channel. I have a question about the things you find. Are the piles just regular weekly pick ups or are many people moving out, being evicted or just cleaning up. Our city does not have bulk pick up. You have to pay extra for that type of disposal. Which sadly makes people dump illegally. Have a great weekend. Cheers.
@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
Nacho is one of the good guys! We get two free curbside pick ups per calendar year. The really big piles are usually evictions 🙂
