Pancham Puriwala - A small eatery started 100 years ago is now Mumbai's oldest restaurant. In the year 1848, a man called Pancham Sharma walked from Agra to Mumbai and opened up a stall selling traditional breakfast of Uttar Pradesh, Puri Sabzi. It is one of crowdest restaurants of Mumbai and has 4 generations of customers visiting this place from India and abroad, enjoying the cult dish i.e. Puri and Aloo Bhople Ki Sabzi. If you stand at Pancham Puriwala and ask stories of Mr Pancham, people will often talk about his kindness. Mr Pancham helped many people and provided free food to the poor. This tradition is carried forward by the 6 generations of Mr Shrma.

I used to eat Puri Bhaji at this place since my childhood & later with my husband. It used to be very good. I'm 68 now. I visited the place a couple of years ago, the puris were oily n the bhajis lacked the original taste

Today excitedly I went there with my colleagues just to taste it's thalis.. But taste is not upto the mark. No taste to puris, Pancham Royal thali came up with paneer in all sabjis. Only amras was good.

Lower than Average food quality , taste is average and price is high. 4 puri aur ek chhote bowl mae paneer matar (3 chhote pieces ) aur additional 4 puri k 157 charge kar liya. Table par tissue paper tak nhi rakhta banda. I recommend not to visit.
