Well this takes me back I used to drive a newer street sweeper for 3 yrs or so about 15 yrs ago I loved that job I had ours up to 80mph the front ends feel very floaty when you hit bumps at speed because they are so back heavy

The thing on the speedo is a gearbox for the speedo. So when you shift the rear axle the speedo reads the right speed since it’s getting a “reading” off the drive shaft. Not that you care but thought I’d share 😉

I got a sweeper from a auction ($1,500) had a ppumped 12v cummins in it, with ONLY 6,000km on it! Threw that bad boy of a mill into my blown up 6.4 F450! Made a minty truck. Engine was clean, but I spruced it up since it was a 94... So she only got 6,000km in 30 years.... But a good engine non-the less! Also scrapped the rest of it for a few thousand, sold the Alison tranny it had, and a few other parts to a guy in the freedom lands. Made money, and got a free engine from it! Good deal! Edit: oh and she actually had a i4 IZUZU engine in the back to run the hydraulic stuff, the Cummins was only for driving the unit... Gave that one to my dad.
