Thanks for the helpful place to start. I have an '05 Grand Marquis with 30K miles (it was my Dad's) and the check engine light just came on last night. As far as driveability goes, the only thing I notice is that there's a slight hesitation the first time I touch the gas pedal when the engine's cold...but it's been doing that, so it might be normal and I just recently noticed it. No problems when the engine's warm or in regular driving. I'll locate a scan tool today. Thanks!

@@supadreamy7561 It was....uhhh...an aftermarket GAS CAP that had gotten dirty or the seal failed! (It was a locking cap my Dad had bought and I never liked it. I'm sure a hairpin would have opened it but they key often took a couple of minutes!) Replaced... and ...gone.

I don't recall the number of the code....but the problem turned out to be the fit of the gas cap, which was an aftermarket one with a key lock.

I have an 06 MGM....identical to one in your video. These cars are built, man. And they are easy to ad custom mods. Keep up good work.....your camera work is great, good lighting, angles and audio is better than most. You have a nice CVPI.

I have an 06 crown victoria and I did the self DTC test with the dash and I'm getting back E023 for a code but can't find anything about it. Do u know what it could be? Car is running normal.

Appreciate the info where did you get that scan tool ? I have a 2011 and the light just came on yesterday but I didn't notice any change in the way the car is running.

I've got a heads-up display built into my dashboard that hooks into the OBD2 reader... The heads-up display is also an OBD2 reader two times now my check engine light has come on so I checked the code that it pops up... Each time it has been correct I just recently got all four of my O2 sensors replaced... I checked the code it gave on Google and it was right... help you find and fix the problem soon bro your Vicks looking slick...

My o3 fcvic check eng lt came on no change in the car? My headlights sometimes go off. Then they come back on intermitently? Any advice?

Recall on the light module. Use to have the same issue on my mercury marauder..

You can buy a headlight restoration kit on Amazon for like 20 bucks and polish out those faded headlights. Just a tip.
