I think the square part is facing the front of the bike and not the engine as the stock one, check minute 1:42 as your stock air filter is positioned, but yeh it might make no big differences anyway.

You are mistaken, it is installed correctly, we just checked the video again. Stock filter has both sides to be blocky, the Sprint Filter only has one blocky side.

@@Motomillion my stock filter is the same as the sprint filter is has only one edgy side and that edgy side was turned to the plastic box, check the next stock bike you change, the same on Panigale V4. you are correct, the rounded side definitely is supposed to face the inside like how the stock OEM filter came out. The more rounded side conforms to the more concaved shaped. The square part faces the front so the two flaps closed will give it a good seal.

I recently swapped my air filter and flat side faces front, not engine side. Amazing how these self proclaimed youtube mechanics can misinform people on how to work on bikes.

That exhaust on the left side can you do some modification to make that exhaust push a bit up, make it balance with right side, if you can do that let me know on the next video...

Manny, what's your reasoning for going with the P08 filter rather than the F1 for higher airflow and waterproofing capabilities?

The F1 can also deal with a lot of road conditions, but fine pollen dust usually will go through the F1, since this bike is purely for getting around town, the P08 fits the bill great.

Mani is right, I have the p08 f1 in my r1m and noticed very fine dust in my airbox. If your bike is track oriented p08f1 is the way to go. Planning on switching to the p08 but am curious if ill notice the power difference.

I believe Ducati installed exhaust option, like Full Akra, are supplied with P08 and upmap, which compensates for the higher air flows through the engine. Is the P08 only to be utilised with aftermarket pipes ? If used with standard pipes, is the stock ECU flash able to compensate or is an upmap required ?

The upmap is not required on the stock mapping. Most modern bikes like these have adaptive learning and can compensate for a filter like the P08.

He installed the filter backwards… I’d reconsider him as your preferred option for repair work
