Hi Bill, Love your videos. Regarding the F1 filter, I've ran it on my bike for 5000km and it does let some dust into the airbox. If you're running a track bike, then it is perfect for that use but don't think it is suitable for the road. The standard paper filter is best for filtration but if you're seeking a performance filter, I would recommend the standard P08 for the best of both worlds.

So I’m wondering if there is any play with back pressure with a fully opened, non restrictive exhaust and intake filter? I’m familiar with cars needing a little back pressure from the exhaust system. I also know a turbo application does not need any restrictions when it comes to an intake. I’m wondering if this filter is overkill compared to the P08? Especially when it comes to street use. Having a full exhaust system also means the valve clearance should be checked a lot earlier than the recommended 15,000 miles. Now that raises a couple more questions when it comes to tuning this bike for said filter & exhaust. Thanks for reading. David

Wow, that's really genius filter access by Ducati there. Think I can swap the gearbox quicker on my Tuono than the filter... Well maybe not, but you know what I mean.

Has anyone noticed that when he pulled out the OEM filter the rounded edge was facing inward, but when he installed in the Sprint it's facing forward? Does this matter? I put my sprint in the same orientation as how the OEM one came out.

Question for you, I've got the 2020 panigale V4. I put on the same arrow exhaust and a bcm air filter. Tried the same process you mentioned to no avail. Was curious how long it ran rough before working itself out and any steps you took that you didnt mention. Thanks

Gonna be hard to verify any gains or losses from that filter. Different day, tuned etc. I would've just tuned it with the stock filter.

Those sort of aftermarket filters are fine for track use... terrible for street use (if you are at all concerned with the durability of your mill).

Hey Bill loving your videos man. I need some advice I’m torn between the V4 panigale and the V4 streetfighter. You have ridden both which one would you recommend. I mostly ride aggressive highway riding and some twisters . I’m looking for handling and comfort but I’m afraid the streetfighter is not going to ride well at higher speeds on the highway due to lack of wind protection. I’m also afraid that the V4 panigale has too much of an aggressive riding position for longer rides. Can you give me some insight man I would really appreciate it.

You should try the Ducati Supersport

I have a 2012 Ducati Diavel Carbon and its comfortable and handles really well but it tops out at 155-160 . I also own a 2005 Gsxr750 that I have owned since it was new with a ton of mods but the riding position is super aggressive with the aftermarket clip ons and Rearsets .

You should get what suits your circumstances better and the one you live the most. I'd say streetfighter as superbikes are not as easy to move around. Superbike gonna make you tired too quickly.

I swear you put that in backwards.. Im liking at the title now and if you match the way the filters look the smooth edges goes towards the motor and the rough edges faces front... I know sounds dumb but either they installed mine backwards or the way the direction arrow on the stock filter means fine of bikes not the way the airflow is.

The fact that it's transparent is evidence enough that it definitely does NOT protect the engine as well as the stock filter. That's just common sense. Of course it flows more air than stock because it filters a lot less particles out of the air. But in any case that won't really present problems until waaaay later down the line so who cares lol
