@@MrLemmy2000 You are actually listening to artistic musical expression instead of present day formulated garbage. I know it is a shock. I am not Canadian but do appreciate the many great Canadian bands from the past.

@@MrLemmy2000 I am a big fan of the first 4 or 5 Rush records before they went more progressive. BTO and The Guess Who were both huge in US in early 1970's. Haywire is a real good Canadian heavy pop band that borders on Heavy Metal. Headpins Toronto, Payola & Orphan are other good Canadian bands of the 1980's that I remember off the top of my head.

We had a shitload of talent come through Angus, Ontario (T.A.I.L. The Angus Interest League) and we had Streetheart a number of times. Yes, indeed we had a huge amount of great Canadian rock. Started in the Lion's Hall, our old six-lane bowling alley, and eventually in the new arena which our rock concerts helped build with the money we raised. Rock was a way of life for many of us. So interesting how much of that talent flowed through various bands and then re-emeged in another form as the chemistry changed. Great times.

Kenny wrote this song after he saw a girl dressed like this at the Native Club. Love the song!

Canada's finest. They deserve to be inducted in the American rock roll hall of fame. If that sounds redecioulous, then so does RUSH belonging in American hall of fame. Not only that. Streetheart made the cover of Rolling Stone. They made there mark in rocks roll history. No disrespect to Rush. They paid their dues. So did many other Canadian bands.

Streetheart had a legeal dispute with Kiss over a song. Gene Simmons hired Bryan Adams for a song

Loverboy Bryan Adams got the fame they deserved but so many Canadian bands didn't. And that pisses me off.
