The reason for that GT3 wing positioned like that is because of the rear aero. If you look from the side you'll realize that rear is a bit "chopped off" with a properly positioned wing allows lower drag and more efficiency of the rear wing. This design was successfully used in Le Mans winning Jaguar XJR-9
