This video explains how the gender of child can be determined in three ways

Why a child of a particular gender (either male or female) is continuously born in a family for generations.
There is a theory that only male child borns more than female kids, whenever there is a war. This theory is called Returning Soldier effect and is explained in detail the same way the scientist has described it.
If a man is born with many sisters or brothers, there is more possibility of having a female kid in the next generation.

The possibility of having a girl or boy child is equal. 50% of male gametes are Y type and 50% are of X type. Fusion of egg with X type sperm will produce a girl child. So, we can't predict the gender. (I think, all the things said in this video may be just a hypothesis)

My husband's father has 5 brothers and no sisters, my husband has one older brother. All brothers of my Father in law's have only sons, there were no daughters in the family for 2 generations. But my husband's brother and my husband have only one daughter each. Sir if you happen to read this comment or if anyone who has knowledge on this reads this comment can you possibly clarify this. You don't confuse mm and mf with XY and XX. Both are different. mm, mf, or ff doesn't have any role in gender determination. It just decides the count of X or Y type sperms. (according to this video)
