Salute to my childhood hood North Newark! Mad memories in the 70's and 80's chillin on Broadway, hangin at The Boys Club, me and my boys peepin at the go go girls at Chester's bar as kids, the 77 steps on Arlington, the #13 bus, going to Broadway elementary, riding our Big Wheels down Chester Ave, chillin in Grafton, going to the old KFC/Geno's on Broadway, shoveling snow as kids up around Mt Prospect where they had the nice cribs, having block parties on Hinsdale, doing dumb shit like throwin rocks at cars on McCarter Highway, etc.

I grew up in Grafton projects...later I would move all around Newark I love where I come from its just that as you get older things change and people change..I remember in the late 80s early 90s Newark was known as the worse city ..people only knew us for stolen cars ..drug dealing and and gangs. You couldn't even get a record deal if you were from here but times have changed..now we have movies being filmed here lots of actors and singers came from here. But like every city has a suburb and a ghetto..good spots and bad...find the good in your city and if you never been out of your city trust me travel and learn there's a world outside of your block ..you will start to appreciate things more and realize it's not where your from its where your at and where you can go if you just give yourself a chance.
