@shaunmilor2 жыл бұрын
tensioner thats good....I got my non-intercooled magnuson mp62 way too hot last July and it started with that sound then 2 months later it was the gnarliest metal scraping sound and it ended up being my front rotorpack bearings then once those got slop in them one day on the way to work the rotorpack ate into the aluminum case of the blower a bit and I had to get a new rotor pack. my fault though I got it way too hot on a nevada hardrock-gold/silver mining trip that took us over tioga pass in yosemite.

Hey Mike, I work at a Chrysler dealer and I mostly work on the srt’s/ hellcats, sounds like and issue that we’ve been starting to see with the hellcat motors, the front bearing on the superchargers have been failing (especially on vehicles that are driven hard) and 9/10 times you have to get a new supercharger put on, could be something else but that’s what it sounds like

@@calebberends3795 I think he still has an issue other than his dynamic tensioner. It really sounds like mine did with the front bearings of the rotorpack went bad. when those bearings go out the rotors start to touch each other and make noise like that. my Magnuson sounded like that and slowly grew louder then ate into the case. it grew louder so slowly I didn't notice it until the metal on metal started.

Keep the TRX, let's see how long you are a happy Dodge customer! I bought my 2005 Dodge Durango with 5.7L Hemi / AWD and I drove it hard and towed my 12' and 16' utility trailers with it until it had over 170,000 miles with almost no issues at all. We've had a few 318 c.i. Dodge Trucks on our family farm with good results, as well, but the exception was the 4.7L V-8 in an otherwise good 2002 Ram 1500.

The T-rex is sick bro, keep it. Everything nowadays has problems, no brand is perfect. The Ford bronco’s engines are literally blowing up right now. GM has lifter problems. Ram has mostly either electrical issues with the ucconect screen having a mind of its own, or the manifold bolts fail, or also lifter issues with the 5.7 hemi. So at this point no brand is perfect just pick what you like and enjoy it. 🤟

Sounded like a bearing or pully was going. Supercharger coolant fluid is also running low so they should check the hoses on that. I would unload the blue TRX and get a new one.
