Thank you. I wanted to leave you a comment just to let you know how helpful the videos are. I learned many exercises which I know have helped my recovery toward normalish speech, facial movements, and facial symmetry. It’s taken me about 2.5 years to get to this point, and I will continue these exercises until I feel they aren’t necessary (if I reach that point). Thanks again!

tbh my sis told me i have a baby voice so i’ve been watching vids & trying tips. words like knoll & boom are way easier than doing vowel sounds & realized ive been breathing from my chest for years instead of my diaphragm. It felt awkward so i practice on the rooftop also been working on my posture & now it's quite helpful

Thanks for the feedback! I was afraid this one had too much explanation. Do you think a more compact one with these same exercises would also be helpful?

Thanks so much for help me with your videos, I am not native speaker English, I have trayed for 20 years to speak a good English, and I cannot do it, I have seen your videos and is exactly I need to learn, in Spanish there are exercises like this but are different because the sounds, the muscles that I have to move are not the same, appreciate really how you help through your videos, is exactly what I need to improve.

Hola Claudia! Me alegra que te gusten los videos! I also speak Spanish but have not yet had time to do my videos in Spanish. It is a long term goal though! Do you think that would be helpful for Spanish speakers given the other youtube channels you have found? This video in particular is for the muscles of the voice, not so much for learning English sounds, but I am glad that you are finding them helpful for your improvement!

@SpeechSecrets have language problems, I have fluid problems, directional problems, etc. In fact, exactly the same thing happens in Spanish, I can't speak correctly, I know the grammar, words, the order, but I can't speak, it has been very frustrating, I really don't have money for treatment, I know they exist so I have taken things from the internet so much in Spanish as in English, I put a pen in my mouth and start speaking tongue twisters and that has helped me a lot in my fluency, diction in Spanish, and a little in English, in fact the sounds, the fluency in English have come out better for me with the pencil in my mouth, this is constant practice, I know that I have to exercise my temporal lobe, it is a challenge, many years ago a teacher made me recite and he saw that defect in me and told me to take a pencil and put it in my mouth, I actually took it badly back then because I thought he was making fun of me, so today while studying I realized that I had speech problems, I remembered my teacher and I'm working on it, I know I don't move my mouth much tongue, lips, I kind of speak with my throat like ventrilocos, I'll tell you how my progress is going, and thank you again.

Hey, Kasondra.This is Ross from Texas.I've watched your videos and they are amazing.I just had one question. How do I keep my frenulum linguae from getting really agitated and cut during these exercises? I have a bottom mouth retainer.That's permanent on the inside of my lower 6 teeth.And it cuts it really bad
@SpeechSecrets3 ай бұрын
Hi Ross! Thanks for the comment and question. Individuals experiencing agitation with the lingual frenulum may benefit from elevating the tongue so that it does not rest on the lower teeth and/or doing the lingual movements within the oral cavity (eg, elevating tongue to roof of mouth instead of outside towards nose). Hope these tips help!
