Writing a research paper on “athlete’s mentality in the game”. This video came out of nowhere but surprisingly benefited me! I just recently fell short of first place at sectionals, but I’m hungry for the gold! I believe I will able to use that confidence to fuel me at the state meet and become a champion

I couldn't agree more! There is no failure if you keep pushing forward.... There is only learning and greater wisdom! I learned all about becoming comfortable with setting hard goals and "failing" by sharing my goals on KZbin and subsequently not reaching them. But I have been honest and I haven't given up! Onward and upward! Keep pushing!

I just did my first marathon--the Colfax Marathon--and despite finishing within time, I have found where my biggest weakness is and now know where to build. I only mention this because it's my hip and leg strength that you're always on about and I thought I was working hard enough on, but apparently not. I think I will have to get some time in the gym.

By far the best running talk or just general talk on life ! The best things achieved in life are led by many failures first, otherwise, you aren't pushing yourself.

Would love to hear your take on lower pain pain/discomfort. I'm 43, spent a decade weight lifting in my youth. Had a pretty bad lower lumbar sprain. This was about 17yrs ago however bad backs never fully heal. When I run, after about the 3rd Km my lower back starts burning. Any suggestions?

I attempted to go on a run this morning but felt so depleted and didnt get it through and then tonight I tired to re attempt it, but ate like 1200 calories before or just too much food and felt extremity guilty. The whole day ate probably 2800 calorie’s and did not run, so I came across this video but for some reason I still feel guilty :( I’m gonna go for a 18 mile run tomorrow though😤
